Chapter 2890
After she changed, she returned to the event hall. Hayden was already gone and so were most of the guests.
Shelly forced herself to remain calm so that no one would suspect her.
"Eric, are you really not tired?" Layla asked Eric.
She wanted him to rest as they had woken up early that morning. Since Elliot and Hayden had redirected most of the guests to another hall and the others were taking care of the female guests, the married couple could finally catch a break.
Eric shook his head. "I'm not tired. You can go take a nap if you are."
"I'm not tired either! I am just excited to be married." Layla smiled gently. "I didn't really get the feeling that we are married until today. Being a bride at my wedding feels far more realistic than getting the marriage certificate."
"Why don't you change out of your heels, at least?" Eric suggested.
"Okay."
Shelly watched as Eric and Layla left the hall and wanted to follow them. However, if she stalked them, she would definitely look suspicious, and she knew that the couple would eventually return to the hall. "Miss, you look unfamiliar. Which family are you from?" A man came out of nowhere and started to flirt with Shelly.
Shelly looked at the man in front of her and opened her mouth hesitantly.
She could not simply make up a family as the man would eventually see through her lies.
Just as Shelly was thinking of pretending to be mute, a child bumped into her and fell down. She immediately helped him up.
"I'm sorry, but I need to take care of the kids," she said before taking the little boy's hand and bringing him over to a group of children nearby.
Shelly had a cheerful personality, so she was generally loved by children. After spending some time with the children, she realized that she was safest with them because there was not a single guest who suspected her identity.NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
There were a lot of children at the
wedding and not all guests knew et
one another, so Shelly could very well be any children's mothepor relative.
Shelly noticed a smartwatch on a little girl's wrist and said, "What a beautiful watch! Who bought it for you?"
"My mom. I picked the diamond on it myself. My mom had it made for me." The little girl showed Shelly the watch.
Shelly dared not to touch it as she did not want to damage the watch in any way.
"What does it do, exactly?" Shelly asked.
"Anything! I can make calls, send texts, receive video calls, and take photos with it!" The little girl lifted her chin smugly. "Huh? Can you take photos with such a small device? Are the photos clear?" Shelly crouched down next to the girl.
"Of course." The little girl immediately took a few photos with her smartwatch and showed it to Shelly.
Shelly glanced at the photos and was impressed by the resolution.
"The photos come out great! Maybe I can take a few photos of you. You look amazing today." A bold idea formed in Shelly's head. "Okay! Take some photos for me!" The little girl handed her smartwatch to Shelly and started posing.
While Shelly took photos of the little girl, she snapped a few other photos

"You look so pretty. Can you send me the photos? I like you!" Shelly showed the little girl the photos she took.
The little girl blushed at the compliment and agreed without hesitation.
Just as Shelly was about to ask that the little girl send the photos to her, she suddenly recalled that there was no internet in the hall and she could not simply fool the girl into walking outside with her.
