His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2882

"Are you done with the preparations for Layla's wedding?" Lilith asked. "When will it be?"

"The preparations are almost done, considering how much help we have," Avery said. "It can pretty much take place any time, but we are still celebrating New Year's, so we didn't want to take the attention away from that."

"You need to decide on a date soon and send out the invitations!"

"I will speak to Layla and Eric about it," Avery said.

"Layla is going to get married yet she still acts like a child sometimes!" Lilith was amused by Layla going up the stairs with the other younger girls.

"We were just like her when we were in our twenties, weren't we?" Avery thought back to the days when she was young; it all felt like yesterday. All the memories seemed fresh, yet so far beyond her grasp. Shortly after, Kiara came running down the stairs with a gift she received.

"Mom, Layla, and Ivy gave me this for New Year's." Kiara showed Shea a sophisticated purse. "Look, Mom, it's the shape of a slot machine. It's so pretty! I love it! Layla bought one for Rose as well." After showing Shea the purse, Kiara opened it and took out a pearl hairpin.

"Mom, this hair clip goes great with what you are wearing today. I will put it on for you," Kiara said and clipped the pearl hairpin onto her mother's hair.

Shea was wearing a white v-neck blouse with a pink pearl necklace around her neck, and her beauty was amplified by the pearl hairpin her daughter had put in her hair.

After pinning Shea's hair with the pearl hairpin, Kiara went back upstairs and Lilith watched enviously.Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

"What a great thing it is to have a daughter. A daughter is always more caring than a son! My son is probably somewhere playing video games." Lilith sighed.

"Just let the kids have fun while they can," Avery said. "It's not good to push them too hard."

"I only did what you did with Robert," Lilith said. "I've never burdened my son."

"Robert's study plan is tailored to

him. While it worked for Robert, it

might not work for Harrod. You hay

emotions and make sure that doesn't view studying negatively. You hired a tutor for him, right?" Avery asked.

"I did! I hired the one you recommended and talked to him in private. He said that Harrod isn't as dedicated to his studies as Robert was. I think he was just being polite, and what he actually means is Harrod isn't as smart."

"Don't keep comparing Harrod to

Robert. Just make sure that he is making progress," Avery consoled her. "It's deal if he has great academic achievement, but his life isn't over even if he doesn't do as welt in school. Ben doesn't seem that anxious."

"He is never anxious, except when Harrod gets hurt at school. Ben doesn't care how well Harrod does at school as long as he graduates. He said that he would plan Harrod's path accordingly once Harrod develops an interest in something."

"Lilith, my daughters aren't high achievers at school either," Shea said. "Rose and Kiara don't really enjoy studying, so we don't push them."

Rose and Kiara were at the age where they cared more about how they looked, and since Wesley and Shea were not at all demanding, the two children maintained an average performance at school.

"But your daughters are so pretty and sweet. If Harrod doesn't focus on his studies now, he might not get a wife when he grows up," Lilith said.

"You are worrying too much." Avery sighed.

Shea sighed as well. "Lilith, you should try to think about something else. That way, both you and Harrod will be able to catch a break."
