His Deceptress Wife

CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

“Just write a note that says ‘You’re The Only One,'” I told my secretary. I asked her to go out and get flowers for Hailey.

“Got it, sir.” When she came out, Jace entered.

I continue to send her flowers and chocolate. I occasionally take her to dinner and lunch outside. I don’t have any other manner of courting her, so I do it my way.

“Flowers again? Your wife will smell nothing but flowers.”

“I don’t like your remarks, Jace. They have a maniacal feel to them.”

“Stupid, I’m not going to fish your wife.”

“What do you need?”

“Dane has invited us to the Brother’s Code Club, and no one is permitted to decline.”

“I’ll leave work early.”

“It is forbidden to refuse.”

“Fuck,” I yelled.

“We know you love your wife very much, but we desire your attention and we are already envious.”

“You’re extremely foolish,” I said as I tossed him a ballpen, and he ran.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

I called Hailey to ask her permission.

“Yes, Nix?” Why do I enjoy listening to her even on the phone?

“Dane asked the group to BCC. I declined since I wanted to go home early, but Jace persuaded me.”

“Alright, what time are you going home?”

“I’m not sure, but I guarantee I’ll be home early.”

“All right, I’ll wait for you,” she said as she hung up the phone. We haven’t even arrived in BCC yet, yet I’m already itching to return home. I am excited to go home to see my wife.

Hailey is one-of-a-kind. She never ceases to astound me. Even a simple smile, laugh, stroll, or everything she does is incredible to me.

Dane and the boys were there for me. As if they have a choice. They always claim I’ve changed, but I don’t believe it. They even inquired if I was in love with Hailey. As of now, I’m unable to say whether not or I already love her. All I know is that I desire her and I have no idea why.

We went to BCC after work. Maggie is also with us, and Blaze grimaced once more, but he had no choice. This lady is likewise one of a kind. She doesn’t care what Blaze says to her and aggressively pushes herself on Blaze. Maggie seemed to be perplexed by him.

“Cheers!” We raised our glasses and drank at the same time.

“Dane, let’s dance?” Maggie asked, but Dane declined. “Let’s go, Dane.”

“Why are you forcing Dane to dance? If you want to dance, dance alone,” Blaze grumbled.

“Are you Dane, Blaze? Just tell me whether you want to dance with me, and I’ll see what I can do.”

“You dance on your own.”

“I really will!” Maggie stands up and walks onto the stage. She is surrounded by men as she dances seductively. We couldn’t stop laughing at Blaze’s reaction. Although he didn’t want to acknowledge it, he was clearly irritated by the males around Maggie.

“Just follow her,” I advised.

“If you want Phoenix, go to her so I can report something to Hailey.”

“Fuck you,” we continue to drink, but Blaze’s gaze remains fixed on Maggie. “I used to be that way, Blaze. ”

“Does it truly change when you’re in love?”

“You weren’t like that with Jessa then, Phoenix,” Jace observed, drawing our attention to him. “You’ve changed drastically. We can claim that you love your wife more than Jessa, who nearly drove you insane as well.”

I don’t want to compare her with Jessa. But this was not how I felt when I was with Jessa. Yes, I tried all I could to get her back, and I openly admit that I love her. With what she does to me, she makes me happy. When I’m with her, it’s as though my entire world revolves around her. She’s the only one I want to concentrate on. I am really proud when someone sees her, and I consider myself fortunate to have her.

But Hailey is exceptional. I am prepared to go to any length for her, and I will not let her leave me. I can’t say I love her, but I adore her. She’s not doing anything, yet just seeing her makes me happy. I grin when I think of her even when she isn’t at my side. My world does not revolve around her because she is the center of my universe. I wish I was the only one she noticed and had her undivided attention. I don’t want anyone else to get sight of her. I don’t want others to see Hailey because I want to be the only one who notices her.

And this is the first time I’ve felt this way. I’ve never been this possessive before, not even with Jessa.

“I’m not going to compare them; all I can say is that how I felt about Jessa back then is nothing like how I feel about Hailey now.”

“I’m happy for you,” Dane said as she touched my shoulder.

I’m content with what I’ve got right now.

I’m on my way home, and I’m a little tipsy. I notify Hailey that I will be running late. She wanted to lift me up because she was worried I wouldn’t be able to, but I told her to go to sleep and I’d do it myself. She persisted because she said she need something from me, but I advised her to go home and wait.

When I parked the vehicle, the entire house fell silent. My vision was slightly impaired, maybe due to the drink, and I was still driving. I looked around to check where Hailey is but it looks like she’s gone. Perhaps she is sleeping and waiting for me.

When Hailey sent me a message asking where I was, I went inside the room. I told her I was home and that I was already in my bedroom, so she could sleep. I had barely changed into my shirt and boxer shorts when I heard a knock.

Despite feeling a little woozy, I went to the door and opened it. Hailey was standing there and swiftly entered.

“What’s the matter?” She was dressed in a nightgown, her scent soothed my nose, and gosh, I had a boner.

I couldn’t move as Hailey kissed me while holding my cheek. I couldn’t stop myself from kissing her, but she poked my mouth with her tongue. Our kiss becomes intense. I heard Hailey groan as we exchanged saliva.

“What happened?” I asked, seeking some air.

“Nix, Nix, I want you. Please make love to me.” What the hell.
