Fifty-One
Merrow let out a chuckle as he leaped over a fallen tree branch. His eyes locked on Lola as she looked over her shoulder at him. He was close to catching her.
His lips twisted into a smile as he saw Lu dash forward from the corner of his eye and he pushed himself faster, knowing it was useless.
You wouldn’t know it by looking at the leprechaun, but he was just as fast. If not faster than the others. Lola let out a peel of breathless laughter as Lu wrapped his arms around her middle. Spinning her around as he caught her.
Merrow slowed his pace, watching his two lovers. He could hear Puca and Bodach as the two men walked towards him.
Lu sat Lola’s feet back onto the soft earth as he held her close. Merrow couldn’t hear the softly spoken words, but he could see the tenderness in the way that Lola and Lu looked at each other.
“Better?” Merrow asked as he heard a twig snap behind him.
“Aye, leannan.” Puca asked as he watched Lola push up on her toes. Rewarding Lu with another kiss, he loved how affectionate she was. How freely she gave herself to them.
“Good,” Merrow said, reaching over and taking the basket from Puca. Looking over towards Bodach, “Is she okay to test?”
“Merrow.” The other man tilted his head, looking at the merman as he rolled his eyes.
“We will need to know.”
“Aye, but not today.” Puca said as he started walking towards Lola and Lu.
“If not today, then when?” Merrow asked with a sigh.
“Soon.” Bodach smirked as he moved forward, Merrow watched as he seemed to blend into shadows of the surrounding trees.
“No, wait. That’s not an answer.” Merrow frowned as he watched Lola take off again, making his way towards his friend. He watched Lu as he stood, watching Lola. “Enjoying yourself?”
“Aye,” Lu said, looking over at his shoulder at the other man. His cheeks flushed and his lips swollen. Stepping closer, Merrow smirked as he hooked his fingers into Lu’s belt loop. Pulling him closer so he could press his lips against the other man’s.
Merrow let out a moan, the taste of Lu and Lola mixing together. Lu pulled back, his eyes meeting the other mans.
“She’s getting away.”
“The others will catch her. Plenty of time for me to steal another kiss.” Merrow said with a smirk as he pecked the others man’s lips before heading in the direction of Lola’s giggles.

Puca let loose a howl of triumph as he spun Lola around. Her back pinned against the tree as he caged her in. His eyes moved to her heaving breasts as she sucked in great gulps of air.
“I’ve caught you.” He growled. Leaning closer, his hips pressing against her’s as he brought his hand up to trace her jawline with his fingertips.
“So you did.” Lola smirked up at him as she pressed her body against his, “Now what are you going to do, now that you have me?”
Puca’s lips twitched into a dark smile as he dragged his fingers lower, down her neck, into the valley between her breasts. His eyes glued to her lips as she bit them.
Lola batted her long eyelashes up at him and he let out a groan.
“Something wrong?” Lola asked as she wrapped her arms around his waist, an innocent expression painted on her face.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
“You have no idea what you do to me, do you, my love?” His fingers tangled in her hair as he held her in place.
“What do you mean?” Lola asked. Her breath coming in short pants that had nothing to do with their earlier game of cat and mouse.
“You test me, more than anyone I’ve ever known.” He said as he leaned down, kissing her forehead.
“I do?” Lola asked as she curled her fingers into his hair.
“Mmm hmm,” He said as he clacked his teeth together in front of her nose. “I could eat you all up.”
Lola gasped at his words, knowing exactly what he meant as she tangled her fingers into his hair. She pulled him closer to her, pressing her lips to his as she savored the sound he made in the back of his throat.
Looking up at him as she pulled back to catch her breath, Lola bit her lower lip. “We could do that too.”
“What’s that?” Puca asked, his voice low and seductive as he brushed his thumb under her ear.
“The umm, eating me up thing.” Lola answered with a blush, thinking about what had happened between them in the shower.
“Naughty little thing, aren’t you?” He said, giving her another kiss, his tongue moving against hers.
“Not giving anyone else the chance to catch her?” Bodach chided as he seemed to bleed out from the shadows.
“Plenty of time left.” Puca grumbled, not wanting his reward to be cut short so soon.
“I’d suggest you run.” Bodach said as he stalked closer. Puca stepped away with a sigh.
Lola’s heart thudded in her chest as she watched the way he prowled closer to her. Her feet rooted to the spot as he stopped, keeping her just out of reach.
“You don’t think you’ll need a head start?” He asked with a smile that promised things that made things low in the pit of her stomach tighten.
“I don’t know that I want to run away from you.”
“What if I want to chase you?” Bodach asked. “It’s half the fun.”
“Are you sure the fun isn’t in being caught?” Lola asked, shivering as a cool breeze ruffled her hair.
“Why don’t we find out?”
Lola turned, darting further into the forest. Running from the others had felt like a buildup. Something about the way that Bodach looked at her. The way he spoke to her made her realize there was more to the game that they were playing than she realized.
Lola moved over a fallen tree trunk, her hand coming to rest on the damp bark as she launched herself over it. Her breathing was loud in her ears as she pressed on.
Dodging low hanging limbs and tree roots, she felt lighter than she had in so long.
“Lola.” Her name whispered in her ear startled her and she lost her footing, crashing into the ground.
“Lola.”
She snapped her head to the side as she tried to find the voice. It whispered again and she felt a thrill of fear shoot up her spine.
Pushing up onto her scrapped knees, Lola looked around as she moved to stand. “Bodach?”
“Lola…” The voice whispered again, and Lola felt like the air was being sucked out of her lungs as the colors seemed to bleed from around her.
“Bodach!” Lola gasped out, feeling panic rise within her as she stumbled forward.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw movement and turned. Barely missing the thing that darted behind a tree as it whispered her name again.
“Lola.”
“Who are you?” Lola asked as she backed up, trying to figure out where the person was that was just out of the line of her sight.
“I am many things, girl.” The voice whispered, seeming to come from many directions at once.
“Lola.” A familiar voice said, pulling her attention away from the whispering voice.
