Chapter 1034 No Progress at All

Aimee had always been very precise when it came to cooking. She told everyone that dinner would be served at 6 pm, and sure enough, it was served promptly at 6 pm. However, even though the time had been communicated well in advance, there were still a table full of hungry people waiting for dinner.

Everyone had been looking forward to this meal since last night and had barely eaten anything all day just so they could enjoy Aimee's cooking. Aimee couldn't quite understand their thinking but was happy to see everyone so enthusiastic about her food.

As the chef, Aimee cared most about the diners' mood. It was easy to tell if they genuinely enjoyed the food or were just pretending. So she felt a great sense of accomplishment when everyone raised their glasses and thanked her for preparing such a delicious meal.

Beata was especially happy because as long as they were still on board the cruise ship, it was still her birthday celebration. She boldly declared that she was the luckiest person in attendance because no one else got an entire birthday meal prepared by Aimee herself! And best of all, Aimee even made Beata's favorite dish - red wine braised beef stew!

Eden couldn't stop praising Aimee after trying her dish and started calling her "family." But after three rounds of drinks, everyone began discussing restaurant ideas again. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

Aimee decided that creating a concept menu wasn't really her thing since it required research and interest in that area which she didn't have much passion for. If forced to create one though, she wouldn't mind doing so but would rather spend more time performing surgeries than researching menus.

The group agreed with Aimee's decision not to pursue a concept menu further but needed to determine who their target audience should be before moving forward with any other plans for their restaurant venture.

Their restaurant was not the type for simple meals, and from the pricing, it was clear that it wasn't cheap.

Ben spoke up, "The location is actually quite difficult to work with. If we want to open a high-end restaurant there, we'll have to spend a lot of time on the road. The surrounding environment also doesn't really lend itself to being very upscale."

Walter replied, "Actually, you don't need to worry about that issue. Right now it's all old houses over there and the residents are mostly older people. But in the next ten years, they will definitely demolish everything and re-plan the area. We're just getting ahead of things."

Eden added in, "Actually rumors about demolition have been going around for two or three years now, but prices are just too high so no one has made any moves yet."

Ben looked at Eden and asked him directly, "So what you're saying is that you want in?"

Eden responded confidently, "We're just waiting for someone else to come along with an opportunity like this one - whoever gets their hands on this land will reap huge benefits down the line."

Miles chimed in skeptically, "That's all well and good but who's going to take on such a big risk?"

This kind of thing was actually very complicated - if everything went smoothly, then everyone would be happy and relationships between them and the authorities would be good all around. But if anything went wrong, then danger could be lurking around every corner.

That was why even after such a long time had passed, there had been no progress made whatsoever.
