Chapter 1020 Everyone Will Only Bless Us

After finishing a big bowl of noodles, Beata finally regained her energy. It was then that she remembered to ask Yael, "Yael, have you eaten yet?"

"I already ate," Yael replied.

He hadn't slept much; when Beata went to bed, he went out. Of course, he was called out by River.

The two of them stared at each other on the deck for a while before River punched Yael and let out some pent-up anger.

Yael didn't feel any pain; instead, he felt honored. After punching him once, River said to Yael, "According to tradition, I should call you brother, but now I guess I have to call you my brother-in- law. I don't know if I made a good deal or not."

"It's me who made the good deal," Yael replied.

River wasn't polite and said directly, "Of course it is! She's my sister after all. Although no one dares openly covet her, there are many who want her secretly. In my heart though, it's clear that even if someone were able to make their move first like you bastard did - it would be outrageous."

Yael thought that this was thanks in part due to River's help. If it weren't for him mentioning it first, then maybe they wouldn't have been able understand each other's feelings so quickly.

Perhaps Beata would never think in that direction and he might only realize his feelings towards her when she was with someone else.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

But by then he knew himself well enough not to try and take Beata away from anyone else because ultimately she belonged with whoever she chose herself.

However, Yael couldn't say these things now as Beata's document was still in River's hands.

Yael could be sure that if he really spoke those words aloud, River probably wouldn't give up the document for ten years or more.

In any case, Yael was anxious but Beata wasn't.

They chatted on deck for half an hour before River finally said, "I'm giving Beata completely over to you this time. If you fail her, I won't consider us friendship anymore."

"Don't worry," Yael replied. "If there comes a day where something happens, I won't need your help. I'll take care of myself."

River said, "As for you, I understand. To put it simply, I'm just saying these things for your benefit. I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt Beata. As for Beata, you also understand that she may seem carefree on the surface but she's actually very stubborn and once she sets her mind to something, there's no changing it."

"I'm not worried about either of you straying from each other, but Beata is still young and can be immature at times so you should be more patient with her."

Yael replied, "I don't see her as a child but rather as someone who will spend the rest of my life with me. Whatever she wants to do, I'll support her all the way and you can trust me on that."

River didn't say anything else after that.

The two of them stayed on deck for a while until Averi came over and Yael left to go back to his room.

Beata had no idea what Yael and River talked about but now that she was full from eating dinner, her mind started racing again.

This led her to think about an especially pressing issue - she hadn't shown herself all day long! Why was this? And how would she face other people afterwards?

Beata buried herself in Yael's embrace and clung onto his waist before whispering in embarrassment, "What am I going to do? I can't show my face anymore."

Yael looked at her curiously before realizing what Beata meant.

He gently patted Beata's back before saying reassuringly, "There's nothing embarrassing about it. Everyone will only wish us well."
