Chapter 1006 This also Made Aimee Hated by Many People

As Beata's 20th birthday approached, Aimee found herself with more free time. After completing her last surgery before taking a break, Aimee walked out of the operating room to see Patrick waiting for her.

In that moment, Aimee realized that she hadn't spent quality time with Patrick in a long while. She felt guilty and after briefing the patient's family, she hurried over to him.

Patrick reached out to hug her but Aimee refused, "I'm dirty. Let me go wash up and change first." This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

"I don't mind," Patrick said.

"Trust me on this one. This patient is dangerous. I need to clean up first," Aimee explained.

Patrick understood the situation all too well and worried about every surgery that Aimee performed. He knew how much she loved being a doctor but also knew how dangerous it could be.

Aimee said, "Wait for me, okay? I'll be quick."

Despite the danger involved in her work, Patrick held onto her hand tightly because he wanted them both to face it together. If anything happened to Aimee, he couldn't bear it alone.

A few minutes later when she emerged from the bathroom wearing fresh clothes but with wet hair still dripping down her back; she ran towards him exclaiming, "I haven't seen you in days! I missed you so much!"

She had been working non-stop lately just so they could spend some quality time together during Beata's birthday week celebration as well as just being able to spend more time with Patrick herself.

Patrick hugged her tightly and said, "I regret not getting you something better than this hospital."

When she was at Innisrial General Hospital before, all of this craziness started happening around them; things were different then - less busy and less hectic than now where patients were constantly streaming through their doors seeking medical attention from doctors. Aimee was now known far beyond their city limits for treating everyone equally regardless of race or social status alike - something which made many people respect and admire about her even more!

She would not prioritize treating the rich and powerful, nor would she turn away patients because of their financial situation. Aimee had only one requirement when it came to treating patients: she would only treat the most difficult cases that other hospitals couldn't handle.

This high bar kept some people from seeking treatment from Aimee, but it also brought in more patients. Aimee had set up a fund to evaluate each patient's financial situation, and for those who couldn't afford medical expenses despite having serious illnesses, their fees were deducted from this fund.

At first, some people tried to take advantage of this system by being clever with their finances. However, no one succeeded in doing so since everyone soon realized that Aimee always put her patients first and nothing else mattered.

Even when performing surgeries, Aimee made arrangements based on each patient's specific circumstances rather than external factors. This approach earned her the ire of many people but they had no choice since sometimes whether or not Aimee personally performed surgery could mean life or death for a patient.
