Chapter 123
Go Away, I’m A Billionairess Now By Evie Cole Chapter 123
Chapter 123 Do You Understand What I’m Saying?
“Chaim, you are the most disgusting villain I have ever seen.”
Chaim thought, she thinks I’m a disgusting villain.
Chaim looked at the closed door in front of him. His face was utterly sullen, like the pitch–dark night with the sound control lights off.
He did not know how long he had been standing in situ. He withdrew his gaze and turned to leave only after he heard footsteps coming from the corridor.
Victor was in a bar when he received the call from Chaim. The bartender under the stage tentatively tugged at Victor’s sleeve,
irritating him instantly. He only suppressed his anger when he saw the caller ID. Then he pushed the two sexy women next to him away and walked off the stage. Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
“Mr. Clayton.”
The bartender knew that Victor did not like to be disturbed, but Victor’s phone had been ringing for a long time. Besides, it was Chaim’s call. The bartender had no choice but to remind Victor.
Victor walked off the stage. In the lively, noisy bar, the anger on his face faded a little. He even gave a few bills to the bartender. “Thank you.”
Victor thought, though I’m furious. I’m still a gentleman who knows right from wrong.
The bartender was surprised to get a tip. He immediately thanked Victor.
Victor clicked his tongue, grabbed his phone, and went to the soundproofing area on the second floor.
He lit a cigarette and snorted as he smoked, “It’s late. Why are you calling me? Are we going to talk about feelings or money?”
“I’m in Room T1. Come up.”
Chaim said and then hung up.
Victor raised his eyebrows, feeling that there was something wrong with Chaim tonight.
What a coincidence. Both he and Chaim were in the bar.
Victor put out his cigarette and walked directly to Room T1.
The third floor was away from the first floor, and it was a soundproof area. After Victor came up from the second floor, he could no longer hear the noise from downstairs.
Victor was a regular customer of ONE. He didn’t even need to look for Room T1. He arrived, raised his hand, and knocked on
the door twice. “I’m coming in, Chaim.”
Then he directly pushed the door open and entered.
After he pushed the door of the private room open, he saw the wine on the table and immediately grinned. “Seriously? You are also one of those people who drink their sorrows away?”
Chaim was a cold and indifferent man. His emotions could barely be affected. Victor had known him for years, but he had never seen Chaim drink his sorrows away.
Tonight, Victor saw two bottles of wine on the table the second he entered the room. Besides, Chaim was holding a glass in his hand as well. Victor knew at once that something was troubling Chaim.
Victor thought, as his childhood friend who has known him for more than twenty years, I won’t gloat, of course. Wait… Fine. I
admit that I will.
Victor tried his best to put his smile away and sat down next to Chaim. “Tell me. Who is capable enough to piss you off so much to come here and drink?”
Chaim looked at Victor coldly. After a while, Chaim said, “Did I fail Samara a lot?”
His words made Victor stunned for a second. After he came back to his senses, he raised his hand, wanting to touch Chaim’s forehead, but Chaim dodged.
Victor clicked his tongue and said, “Don’t dodge. I suspect that you are having a fever. Otherwise, why would you ask such a question with a conscience?”
“Get out if you don’t know how to talk!”
Seeing that Chaim was about to snap, Victor had to give in. Victor said, “Fine. Do you want to hear the truth?”
Chaim did not speak. He looked at Victor as if Victor were a retard.
Victor endured it and continued, “To tell the truth, Samara did the right thing by divorcing you. Do you understand what I’m saying?”
