Dirty Little Secret

Chapter 61

Unice’s PoV

When we arrived at the mansion, Ace parked his sports motorcycle, and I got off. I removed my helmet, fixed my hair, and handed it over to him.

“I’m going inside first,” I stated, and he nodded.

I walk to his house and open the door to see if anything unusual is happening. I go inside and immediately go to my room to change my clothes. After changing into a blue t-shirt, I put on a short, place my bag on the bed, and pick up my phone.

I exited my room and noticed Ace waiting for me; I knew he wanted to know what had happened, so I was ready to tell him everything.

“Let’s talk in the living room. It’s more comfortable there,” I suggested, and he followed. He is dressed in a black leather jacket, a v-neck white shirt, black fitted pants, and black boots.

“I’m sorry if I have to fetch you; I’m just worried, even though I’ve asked my men to follow you for your safety,” Ace apologized. I knew he was worried and sat down on the sofa with him.

“I told you I’d be fine; he hasn’t done anything; we’re just talking about inviting him to your house.” Ace nodded when I clarified.

“He told me you are not the type of person who will give up; he knows you hold a grudge against him,” I explained, and he now looks down rather than looking at me.

“But does he believe you when you say I’m going to give up?” Ace inquired.

“Yes, he believes, but he also knows that you are going to change because of me, but we need to be ready against him because I know he can strike at any time,” I added to Ace, who looked at me slowly.

“I told him if he’s expecting that you’ve changed,” I clarified, making him laugh slightly.

“What did he have to say about it?” Ace was curious.

“He explained why he killed your parents, and I believe he does not intend to kill your father. He also stated that he despises your mother,” I mumbled to him, noticing his expression change, and then looked away.

“If they just talked about it, the problem would be solved, but he wants the hard way, and I will give him that, Eye for an eye,” Ace boasted, and I became sad, holding his hand.

“I also told him that he shouldn’t kill you because you are innocent and only wanted revenge, but now that it has begun, can you stop it?” When I questioned him, he let go of my hand.

“How could I stop? He is deserving of death,” Ace rasped and rose from his seat.

“He will still haunt you if you don’t stop killing his men,” I explained, and he laughed, indicating that he is not afraid of going to war with Edward anytime soon. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

“I won’t stop; we’re already here, and I’m ready for anything; I’ll put an end to this once and for all!” Ace exclaimed, looking at me. His expression is desperate, and I hope this is completed soon so we can be at peace without fear of being arrested.

“Let’s get ready tonight; I told him to come at 8 p. m. He’s not bringing his men, so you don’t need to order yours to come here,” I counseled him, and he nodded.

Edward’s PoV

My son entered my office, and I believe he already knows that Unice came here without my knowledge.

“Security informed me that you allowed Unice to enter your office?” Christian asked me a question.

“Yes, I agree to come to Shelton Mansion. If Ace is giving up, why not give him another chance?” I explained, and he sat in the chair in front of me.

“Am I understanding correctly? Is Ace giving up? But why is that? Because he has someone he cares about and is afraid we will hurt her? Or because he’d changed?” Christian wondered. I got out of my seat, put my hands in my pants pocket, and looked at the window.

“I guess they’re in love, and I think Ace is obsessed with that woman,” I replied, making Christian laugh.

“What will I do if you don’t return home?” My son interrogated me.

“You need to continue the investigation to Shelton Mansion,” I told my son, who was taken aback.

“I know you can do it; you’re my son, and I believe in you,” I told Christian, who nodded.

“I’ll do it, Dad, but what about Mom? She’ll be worried if she finds out what happened to you,” Christian added as I looked out the window in my office.

“You will protect her, and I apologize if I do not return alive. But I believe Ace is truly surrendering.” I give my son advice.

“Do you think so? If you notice anything suspicious, call your men.” I shook my head as Christian explained.

“I will not. I told Unice I wouldn’t bring any of my men,” I told Christian, who sighed.

“Okay, do what you want dad, I trust you as well,” Christian replied, smirking.

Unice’s PoV

It’s already 7:30 p. m., and I’m dressed as a maid; Ace is in his room, preparing everything, and he’s ready to kill Edward today. I was surprised to hear a car outside because Edward had arrived early.

I went outside and saw Edward exit his car, who was surprised to see me dressed as a maid.

“How come you’re dressed like that? Will you serve us some champagne?” Edward teased me before approaching me.

“Yes, Ace has instructed me to do so,” I responded to him, and this is the first step in taking action.

I need to seduce him into putting the drug on his champagne; the drug is a sedative sleeping pill, and Ace decides to kill Edward while he sleeps; this is the quiet killing for me.

I let Edward into Ace Mansion, and we went to the pool game room, where he noticed the empty glass on the desk. He took a seat on the chair and was waiting for Ace.

“I’ll call Ace, he’s changing his clothes, and I’ll prepare champagne for the two of you,” I reminded him, and he nodded.

I picked up the tray with two empty glasses, went into the kitchen, and took the drug from my pocket, placing it in Edward’s glass and pouring champagne over it. I returned to the pool game room and saw him using his phone, which he had put back in his pocket when he saw me.

“Where is he now?” Edward inquired as I prepared the champagne.

“He’ll be here soon; while you wait, you can drink your champagne,” I suggested, placing the tray on the desk.

“You didn’t put anything here, right?” Edward was curious.

“If you don’t trust me, don’t drink it; I’m just doing what Ace told me,” I reassured him.

“Are you trying to seduce me by wearing a maid outfit that exposes your chest?” I continue to act as Edward asks.

“Do you not want it? It’s an extra service for you,” I teased, touching his arm, which surprised him.

“Seduce wouldn’t work on me; this isn’t about giving up; it’s about trapping me here,” Edward shoved me and was about to struggle with me.

“Please let me go! You old man!” I yelled and tried everything I could to get his hand off my neck because he would struggle me to death.

I saw Ace come over to our location. He was wearing his black vest, his red mask with a flame design, and his combat gloves and weapons. He grabbed Edward on his back and punched him in the face with a straight punch; I stood up and saw him bring a baseball bat. His outfit wall was all black with a flame design; I could see the great physic of his body as he prepared to fight.
