Chapter 1177: How to beat your night breeze (1)
Micaela took a few deep breaths before slowly sitting on the edge of the bed, holding onto the headboard.
She reached Campoverde, “Hello Mr. Campoverde, have you heard from Mr. Nico yet?”.
Campoverde’s voice was hurried, “Madam, I am at the Swiss border and have used all my contacts to send for Mr. Nico, but so far there is no news, Mr. Nico was on the mountain forty-eight hours before the avalanche. If they had reached the top, Mr. Nico would have been coming down when the avalanche occurred. ”
Micaela swallowed several times and her voice trailed off as she said, “If you hear anything, remember to contact me immediately.”
“Definitely. Don’t worry, ma’am, Mr. Nico has a great life and he’ll be lucky.”
Yes, Nico has a hard life, nothing will happen to him.
Near the end of the call, Micaela suddenly said, “Campoverde. ”
She paused and spoke firmly, “Live and let die, Nico must be found. ”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Micaela hangs up the phone and, as she sits on the edge of the bed with the phone in her hand, she looks at the small alarm clock on her desk; it is 3 a. m. in London.
The snow has stopped outside, but I don’t know if it will fall again during the day tomorrow.
But the snow is not too heavy, so even if it falls on the way and the flight is bumpy, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Micaela’s composure was amazing as she packed a few simple clothes, changed, carried a travel bag with the car keys and left.
Late in the evening, Grandma and Hud were asleep.
Micaela just left a note, taped to the fridge, telling them not to worry.
White car, driving to the airport.
The streets of London are cold and desolate in the early morning, covered in snow.
But the distant car, rolling over the white snow, leaves a trail, silent and decadent, but determined and full of life.
Micaela has always driven steadily, but at high speed.
As she drove to the airport, she sat in the car and took a deep breath. After checking a few flights on her phone to determine the route and time of the flight, she got out of the car with her backpack and headed to the airport grounds.
Before boarding the plane, Micaela called Campoverde and asked him to send her the distance location so she could meet him.
Campoverde, on the other end of the phone, was also stunned, as he did not expect Micaela to come to Switzerland in person.
“Mr. Nico would be delighted if he knew that the lady herself had come to pick him up.”
Micaela, not knowing how excited she was, said, “Then he has to be happy with that life, too.
He had better be, well, alive.
If he had died, she wouldn’t have known, and it would have been as if he had lived a good life, and she could still live it in peace with the other.
The most important thing is that you have to be in love with each other, but you don’t have to be in love to have the best ending, and forgetting about each other isn’t some kind of fulfillment and quiet joy.
But how could he be indifferent when someone close to him told him about his unknown destiny?
…
At the foot of the alpine mountains, line after line of specialized search and rescue teams rush into the hills to rescue people.
The landscape is covered in snow.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Micaela met up with Campoverde and stayed at the lodge at the foot of the mountain to make it easier to wait for news and search for people.
It had been twenty hours since Nico had disappeared and if no one was found in forty-eight hours, the chances of survival would be slim.
Micaela crouched in the snow for a long time to calm herself because she was panicking and had terrible abdominal cramps and cramps.
Campoverde said, “Ma’am, you should go back and rest, I will go with the search and rescue team sent to find Mr. Nico, the situation in the snowy mountains is still not stable, if we find Mr. Nico and something happens to you, ma’am, I will not be able to explain to Mr. Nico. ”
Micaela gritted her teeth and blushed, but said, “I’m fine, I’m not going up the mountain with the search and rescue team to increase the mess, it is low altitude and will be fine, but it is also a place where search and rescue teams are more likely to fail, more people are more powerful, I will only search here, even if there is a chance to survive. It’s better than missing the best time for rescue.”
Micaela was right and Campoverde said, “Well, then take care of yourself, ma’am.”
Micaela was searching alone at low altitude in the mountains, where the temperature was so low that her legs felt as heavy as lead, even though she was wearing professional cold-resistant clothing.
“Nico! Nico!”
“Nico! Nico!”
She screamed and searched all the way.
Screaming so loud that her throat was smoking and she could no longer make any loud noises.
It’s full of snow and disappointment.
Micaela sinks to her knees in the snow, defeated, gasping the white air and looking hopelessly at the rolling hills, a sight that should have been beautiful but is now filled with fear.
Avalanche.
Yesterday she was talking to her grandmother at home in London about the snowstorm, but she would never have guessed that Nico’s would be in Switzerland and be hit by an avalanche.
Grandma also said that things like plane crashes and avalanches are a death sentence when you encounter them.
How Nico is not afraid to die and play any exciting athletic event.
Micaela pouted, her long, thick eyelashes tinged with a coat of frost and snow, as she calmly and hopelessly picked herself up from the snow and stumbled forward in search of …
Micaela doesn’t know when she passed out.
When she awoke, Campoverde was sending a foreign doctor.
Campoverde was relieved to see Micaela awake: “She’s finally awake, ma’am. The doctor said she fainted in the snow from low blood sugar, and thank goodness we found her in time, otherwise she would have frozen.”
Micaela got out of bed, looked outside at the sky, still white as snow and unable to tell the time, and asked: “What time is it?”.
At this question, Campoverde frowned and said, “It has been thirty-two hours since Mr. Nico’s accident. Sixteen more hours, and if we haven’t found anyone, I’m afraid that …”
“Has the helicopter come up yet?”
Campoverde: “I followed the helicopter all day yesterday and saw several wounded, but I could not find Mr. Nico. ”
“How can this be, he might not have been on the mountain at all?” Micaela looked at Campoverde with a glint of hope in her eyes, as if trying to hear some good news from Campoverde.
“Ma’am, I wish Mr. Nico hadn’t gone up the mountain. But I checked the address where he last disappeared the location of his phone and it was Mont Blanc. After the avalanche, he probably buried his phone in the snow and it probably broke, so he lost the signal.”
Micaela hung her face slightly and let out a soft laugh, saying helplessly, “Yeah, what was I thinking, but dead or alive, you always have to see someone.”
Campoverde did not know what words of comfort to say.
There was total silence.
Suddenly, someone came running in from outside in a blizzard of snow: “Mr. Campoverde, you found him!”.
“You found Mr. Nico?” Campoverde’s eyes lit up.
Micaela stared at the man.
The man swallowed several times and said, “No! No one has been found! But Mr. Nico’s phone was found! They should find Mr. Nico’s person soon!”
Micaela jumped out of bed, came striding over and snatched the black phone from the man’s hand.
Take a closer look.
Nico’s phone is a custom-made model with a small engraving on the back of the phone, a letter of the alphabet, the J.
It’s his cell phone.
