Deadly Affairs

All through the ride home, I was raging mad. What Molly told me was really outrageous. My daughter wre getting bullied at school and no one bothered to tell me. Not even Molly.

“Are you mad at me mom?” I heard Molly’s tiny voice say.

“Why wouldn’t I be? Something was going on with you at school and you didn’t even bother to tell me or anyone else. I always told you to talk to me if something you didn’t like was happening to you. Why did you keep quiet about it?” I asked.

“But I told my class teacher.” She answered.

“And what did she say? Did she do anything about it?” I asked again.

“She told me not to mind them that they were just playing with me.” Molly answered. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

“Really? What type of teacher is that?? And you couldn’t even tell me.” Anger was evident in my voice.

Well, why wouldn’t I be angry??? I paid the some money the other kids’ parents did. I made sure I always paid on time but this is all I get in return. The thing I hated the most. No way. I can’t tolerate that. I just can’t.

I was deep in my thoughts about things I would do to the useless teacher and those students when I heard sniffling. I removed my eyes from the road for a split second only to see Molly crying.

I swifty parked the car at a safe place at the side of the road and turned to face her.

“Baby. Why are you suddenly crying??” I asked in surprise.

“You are mad at me mom. You have never been this mad at me.” She said as more tears kept flowing own her eyes.

“Baby. I wasn’t mad at you.” I said, trying to console her.

“Don’t lie to me mom. I know you are. I can see it. But it isn’t my fault that I was being bullied at school. I am the victim.” She said.

“I am only mad at you because you didn’t tell anyone at home. If you had, it wouldn’t have continued.” I said.

“I’m so sorry mom. I promise never to hide anything from you again.” She muttered.

“You better. Now wipe your tears because big girls don’t cry.” I said as I gave her a napkin. She collected it from me and used it to wipe her face.

“Good girl. Now give mummy a hug.” I said as I opened my arms wide which made her chuckle. She’s finally laughing.

She unbuckled her seatbelt before standing on her seat and wrapping her small hands around me.

“I love you so much mumny.” She muttered.

“I love you more baby and you don’t have to worry anymore because I will be changing your school.” I said. She moved away from our embrace and stared as me happily.

“Really? I am really changing schools?” She asked happily. Her eyes were sparkling.

“Yes.” I answered.

“Thank you some much mummy.” She muttered as she gave me a peck on my cheek before she sat down back on her seat.

“I’ll be changing school.” Was what she was singing through out the ride home.

“She was bullied??” Dad asked, his expression was burning with fury.

“Yes. And the class teacher told her not to worry that they were just trying to play with her.” I continued.

We were currently at home and I didn’t waste anytime in telling mom and dad what I had found out from Molly.

“What type of teacher says that?? He or she needs to be sacked. I’ll make sure of it.” Dad said.

“I agree but Tasha, don’t you think moving out is a bit extreme. Her changing schools is fine but do you really have to move out or is there something you aren’t telling us?” Mom asked.

“No. There isn’t. I just felt Molly needs a change of environment to completely forget about everything and also, the house I built has been empty for months now.” I answered.

I didn’t want to tell them the real reason I am so eager to move because I didn’t want to make them worried. They are aware of how Jason frightened me to the core. If they know that he found me, they wouldn’t just seat around and do nothing.

Things might get really messy and that is what I don’t want. I just want to continue living my life in peace like I have been doing for these past six years.

“That why I told you to rent it out. Or are we we suffocating you here? Is that uhy you want to leave?” Mom asked again.

“What? No. Why would I have those type of thoughts?” I asked back.

“It’s fine. Let her do what she vants Linda. Besides she is already thirty one, she can’t keep living under us for the rest of her life.” Dad finally said.

Mom wanted to arque further but she decided to keep quiet.

“I know you’re worried about Molly. If you want, you can come and stay with us.” I said.

“I would love to but can’t leave your father alone in here.” She answered.

“Well, visits would be better then.” I said.

“Just take good care of our grand daughter. That’s all I ask.”

“Don’t worry yourself dad. I will. She’s my daughter too.” I said will a slight chuckle before heading into my room.

*FAST FORWARD*

*Three weeks later*

I sighed tiredly all plopped down on the couch. I had just taken Molly to the new school I enrolled her into.

It’s been a week and some days since we moved into our new home and it has been nothing but hectic. I had almost forgotten how hard it was to take care of a kid and going to the hospital at the same time, coupled with the fact that we just packed into a new home.

I really need to hire a maid because nanny Abigail and I can’t keep doing all the work in this huge house alone. I closed my eyes and decided to take a short nap before I continued arranging the house when I heard noises coming from out side.

I tried ignoring it but it was getting too much and disrupting my sleep so I stood up and walked outside angrily. I noticed that the noices were coming from our next door neighbour so I marched towards his gate and knocked on it furiously.

I was about to knock again when the door flew open. Finally.

“Why you keep dis…” My words were stuck in my throat when I looked up and saw do it was.

What the hell?? Ryan is my next door neighbour????
