Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Looking at the photo in the cursed letter, Gisele’s features twisted into a bitter smile.

While Dorian had been comforting Sierra, Gisele had foolishly called him.

When he had escorted Sierra to the hospital, Gisele had been fighting against three thugs for

her life.

“Are you done messing around?” That was what he had said to her.

Now, they were in the same hospital. Yet he was accompanying Sierra in the VIP psychological room, while Gisele was left holding her baby’s death notification.

“I’m going to find that pair of scumbags right now!” Angie couldn’t bear to see Gisele like that and abruptly stood up.

“What’s so great about Sierra? In the complex emergency simulations during university, she lost to you. If you hadn’t married Dorian, she would have had no chance to be the top beauty in the medical field. With your skills, you can easily crush her!” Angie scoffed.

Gisele attempted to pull Angie back, but the latter was very strong. She ended up dragging Gisele halfway off the bed. “Don’t go.”

The movement pulled on Gisele’s wound, making her wince from the pain.

Seeing this, Angie’s voice choked with emotion.

“Gigi, why are you so foolish? Does that scumbag know that you’re the one who took care of Declan for three years?

“Two years ago, he had been close to death in a car accident. Does he know that you prepared for a transplant to save him?

“And when he wanted to go to Moshocor to find Sierra, Declan didn’t allow it. In the end, Declan let him go, but only because you were willing to undergo artificial insemination.

“Does he know any of this? You’ve treated him better than his mother. Are you blind, or is

he blind?”

Tears welled up in Gisele’s eyes as well. That was right; Dorian had always thought that she had married him just to latch onto the Jeffersons.

But she had married Dorian because she loved him.

For ten long years, she had secretly pined for him. Setting aside all dignity, she had given

everything to be his wife for three years.

Yet, Dorian had no desire to know about this affection of hers.

Dorian and Sierra made a talented and beautiful pair. But Sierra was an illegitimate daughter. There might have been other reasons, but Declan had been strongly against their

relationship.

Tycoons and politicians who opposed Jefferson Group had once feared Declan’s methods. His methods made even powerful opponents tremble.

Gisele didn’t know the exact details. Shortly after, Sierra had gone abroad to study, and Dorian had been set up for matchmaking by Declan. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

Three years ago, Dorian hadn’t been willful enough to defy Declan. Without even meeting the candidates to be his wife, he had chosen Gisele randomly from the candidates presented

to him.

The Meyer family had just been there to make up the numbers. In fact, Gisele’s parents, Peter Meyers and Thalia Everly, had bribed the Jeffersons‘ butler, Alfred Perry, to get them on the guest list.

Gisele was admittedly beautiful and pure, so she had been allowed in by chance.

No one knew how happy she had been when she had learned that Dorian had chosen her. It had been like all her wishes in life had come true!

Perhaps she had used up all her luck that one time. After that, all of Gisele’s expectations and hopes had turned into a joke.

On her wedding night with Dorian, Gisele had sat alone until dawn.

Three years into the marriage, not a single person in Hearthfield knew that she was Mrs. Jefferson.

Now, even the child she had conceived through artificial insemination had been lost.

Gisele’s phone rang. Upon seeing the caller ID, she instinctively sat up straight.

Dorian?

“Where are you?” Dorian’s cold, husky voice came through the phone.

Before Gisele could reply, he continued. “Make some barley porridge.” 1

Barley porridge was good for calming and detoxification. Gisele often cooked various porridges for Dorian and had his assistant, Jon Kiss, deliver them.

Sometimes Dorian ate them. Sometimes he threw them away.

The porridge Gisele made had remarkable effects. Declan’s health had improved over the years because of her. She had been preparing different porridges and nutritious soups for him every day.

“Send it to St. Anne Hospital.” Dorian’s voice raised a bit before Gisele could reply.

Gisele’s heart skipped a beat. Her fingers shook as she saw Sierra’s Facebook post. It was a photo of a bowl of barley porridge.

Angie jumped up, ready to start cursing.

“Today is our third wedding anniversary,” Gisele said, holding Angie’s hand firmly. Her words seemed unrelated to the current situation.

“What do you want to say?” Dorian’s tone became impatient.

“I wish… that we…”

Get divorced.

The word “divorced” felt like ashes choking Gisele’s throat. She could almost see herself spitting them out, dripping with blood and flesh.

“I’ve transferred 100 thousand dollars to your account. Hurry up and send the porridge.” With that said, Dorian hung up.

Soon after, Gisele got a notification on her phone, letting her know she had received 100 thousand dollars. She had also gotten an address.

Gisele winced, her whole body aching like a truck had run over her.

Angie immediately held her back. “Are you kidding me? You’re not going back to cook porridge, are you?”

Gisele used her phone to place a food delivery order. She fl*pped through her gallery and put a few photos together.

Then, she printed out a copy of her marriage certificate. Next, she called for a courier service.

In less than half an hour, news about Sierra and the CEO of Jefferson Group went viral.

Sierra’s food delivery arrived. But the package seemed to contain Dorian’s marriage certificate!

At first, the netizens were buzzing with speculation. They assumed Dorian and Sierra had gotten married in secret and gotten a marriage certificate.

Yet, this narrative quickly shifted when a few photos were released.

Upon receiving the food delivery, Sierra accidentally spilled the hot porridge. The mishap left her covered in porridge from the waist up.

After Dorian helped her clean up, he took a few calls and quickly left with a frown.

At first, Sierra maintained her elegant and dignified image as a talented socialite. However, she soon found herself under scrutiny.

Jefferson Group clarified on their official Facebook page that Dorian and Sierra were not married.

In just half an hour, the situation had changed. People went from thinking that Dorian and Sierra were a perfect match to becoming suspicious about Sierra interfering in Dorian’s marriage.

Sierra left the hospital wearing a black mask. She fled in a hurry through the hospital parking lot, narrowly avoiding the reporters, who rushed over after catching wind of the

news.

“Such a relief!” Angie chuckled, slapping her thigh as reports kept popping up.

“Should I send Sierra another banner. It’ll say, “The kind Mrs. Jefferson graciously grants porridge!“”

Gisele began to pack her things. She had fallen from so high and lost her baby, but she had only suffered a fractured right leg that didn’t even need a cast.

It seemed that a lowly life such as hers could sustain anything.

“Where do you plan to go now? You’re not thinking of going back to appease Dorian, are you?”

Angie hurriedly blocked her. “If you go back to that scumbag, I’ll break your leg for real!‘

Gisele removed her IV drip and calmly replied, “I’m going back for a divorce.”

It was her third wedding anniversary. Since she had lost her baby, she might as well give her pitiful baby a send–off.
