Chapter 69
The girls left and went to Sam’s house. Smokey was still wound up.
“Fuck! I messed up so bad Prez.” He retorted.
“Let her calm down, and you sober up. Then you both can sit down and talk about it.” Jax explained.
“You don’t know her. I don’t think she’ll ever talk to me again. My chest feels like someone is stabbing me to death.” Smokey groaned.
“I’m sure you’ll work it out. She’s having your baby. You just need to sleep it off, then go talk to her.” Ice replied.
“She was so mad and upset. I could see it. Fuck! She canceled the wedding!” Smokey replied.
“It can be rescheduled.” Jax replied.
“You don’t understand. Cheating is the one thing Sam can’t forgive.” Smokey groaned again.
“Yeah but it didn’t get that far.” Ice reminds him.
“What the fuck was I thinking? Fuck! I’m so stupid to fall for her bullshit! I just ruined the best thing in my life!” Smokey shouted.
“Brother you need to calm down and sleep it off. Things will look better in the morning. Then you guys can talk.” Jax replied.
Over at Sam’s house the girls found her crying and throwing all of Smokey’s things out into the yard.
“Sam, don’t do this. You’ll regret it when you guys work this out.” Raine cautioned.
“Was she still with him when you left?” Sam asked.
“No. She ran her mouth to me, and I kicked her ass out.” Raine retorted.
“I can’t stand the sight of his stuff. I want it all out of my house! I want to puke it makes me so sick!” Sam screamed.
“Look hun, he was drunk, in shock of seeing her too. I know that’s no excuse, but she took advantage of that situation. I know if he was in his right mind he’d never do that to you. Sometimes situations get away from us and we have trouble getting them under control. Just calm down, get some sleep and you both can talk about it tomorrow when he’s sober and you are calmer. Plus, this isn’t good for the baby.” Kim cautioned.
“Trust is the most valuable and fragile thing in a relationship. Once it’s broken, it’s never the same.” Sam cried.
“Let’s just calm down and wait until you’ve both had time to talk. It’s too fresh right now.” Raine replied.
“No. It’s over. I can never trust him again. I think he still loves her. My god, he even had a boner for her.” Sam replied in disgust.
“Hun that’s just a male thing. It don’t mean anything.” Kim explained.
“Yes, it does. He said after he met me, he couldn’t get hard for anyone else. That he only wanted me. That his dick only wanted to be inside me and no one else. Obviously with her that’s not true.” Sam replied. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
Just then Raine’s cell phone rang. She answered it and listened to what Jax was saying then looked at Sam. Then she hung up. She looked to Kim and then back at Sam.
“What?” Sam asked. “What is it?”
“Umm, Sam..” Raine begun.
“Raine? You’re scaring me. What did Jax say?” Sam begged.
“He said Smokey was so upset, saying he needed to talk to you, make you understand. And he took off on his motorcycle probably coming here.” Raine replied.
“That stupid idiot! He has no right to be on a bike as drunk as he is!” Sam retorted.
“Jax said they are leaving now to follow. For us to stay put and they’ll all be here soon.” Raine replied.
“Can this night get any worse?” Sam muttered.
“Hun, you need to calm down. Think about the baby.” Kim replied.
Sam cried even more. Raine and Kim hug her until she stopped. Half an hour later they were still waiting.
“Where are they?” Sam asked.
“I don’t know.” Raine answered.
Finally, her cell rang. She answered it and after a few responses hung up.
“Well?” Sam asked.
“We need to go to the hospital. Smokey wrecked his bike.” Raine whispered.
“Oh God! No!” Sam cried.
The girls piled in Sam’s car and headed to the hospital. Sam cried the whole way. As soon as they got there Sam ran inside. The guys were waiting on her.
“How bad?” Sam asked.
“Sam, you need to sit down.” Jax replied.
“No. Please don’t say what I think you’re going to say.” Sam cried.
“No, it’s not that. We just don’t know much yet. He’s in surgery. They aren’t letting anyone back. Plus, you’re pregnant and need to sit down reserve your strength. He’s hurt really bad, but he’s alive. You need to brace yourself.” Jax explained.
“I’ll get you some water.” Ice replied.
Jax led Sam over to a couch in the waiting area. Raine and Kim surrounded her. The rest of the brothers sat down as well.
“I should have just stayed at the clubhouse and talked to him. Then he wouldn’t have gotten on his bike to follow me. He wouldn’t be here.” Sam whispered.
“Uh ah, don’t do that, don’t blame yourself. This is all on him. All his decision. He knew he was too drunk to drive.” Jax ordered.
Just then Makenzie ran into the room. “Sam! I came as soon as I heard. You stay strong, ok? He’s got the best doctors working on him. He’ll pull through.”
“Thanks Makenzie. I’m just kind of numb right now. Don’t know what to think.” Sam replied.
“Of course, you are.” Makenzie replied. “I’ll go see if I can find out more.”
Just then Jo walked in. “How is he? Anyone know?”
“YOU! This is all YOUR fault!” Sam screamed. “You caused this, you no good bitch!” Sam walked over to her and punched her as hard as she could in the face.
It busted Jo’s nose and knocked her on her ass. Then Sam climbed on her and started punching her more. Two of the brothers had to drag her off of her.
“Sam, honey, you need to calm down, think of the baby.” Ice soothed holding her back.
“Brothers, get her ass out of here!” Jax ordered.
The security guard came over. “I’ll see she doesn’t get back in.” Then he followed the guys out.
“Hun, you need to calm down. Your blood pressure is gonna go through the roof! You don’t want to harm your baby, do you?” Kim asked.
Sam finally sat down and started crying again. Kim and Raine hugged her while she cried. Snake and Hawk walked into the waiting area a little while later.
“Sam?” Snake asked.
Kim moved and he sat beside of her. He wrapped her in his arms comforting her. “Hey, shh, it’s going to be ok. You just need to take care of you and the baby, and let the doctors do their job.”
“Thanks Lucas.” Sam sniffed.
Snake just sat and held her for a while.
