Chapter 20
Karen POV
Mavis have messed everything up for me, so I may never get the chance to get this done again. The thought of the jerk I saw with Dylan yesterday, flashed through my mind and I couldn’t help wondering where they both knew each other from. I keep racking my brain to come with a possible solution, but who said that I’ll ever find one? Well, my brain is numb and I can’t seem to think of anything.
The sound of my ringing phone pulled my attention and I groaned tiredly, reaching out to it. Turned out that it was my annoying friend, Mavis. Why the heck is she calling me?
“What’s it, Mavis?” I asked angrily as soon as I picked the call.
“You don’t have to be so hard on me, Karen. I told you I’m sorry already. Besides, I was just trying to take revenge for you,” she whined from the other end and I couldn’t help the scoff that tore though my throat. I didn’t remember asking her for help and even if she must help me, it wouldn’t have been that way, she literally made everything worse for me, and now I would have to clear everything by myself, that’s if I’m ever given the chance to. It’s kind of cool though, I feel happy that I have a friend that’s fighting for me, but still, she shouldn’t have done that.
“Am I supposed to say thank you for that?” I scoffed, feigning annoyance. Of course, I wasn’t mad at her, at least not anymore.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
“I’m sorry. I just found something that can help you. I know this is crazy, but I think it may help you out. I managed to get Dylan’s house address and I think it’ll be great, if you can give him a surprise visit in his house. Who knows, he may decide to change his mind. You’re not going to do this alone, will help you out, I’ll go with you and apologize for what happened, so this mess can be cleared once and for all,” she said, and my eyes slowly narrowed as a smile crept its way up my lips. This is great and good news. The thought of going to Dylan’s house makes me extremely happy. It has always been one of my wish list to know Dylan’s house though.
“I’ll think about it,” I said, and ended the call immediately. I only said that so Mavis won’t think that I’m crazy, but heck! I’m not thinking about anything, because I’m so damn going to his house and I mean, right now!
“What should I wear?” I asked no one excitedly; as I sauntered to my closet and threw it opened. I’m so excited and guess what? I wasn’t mad at Mavis because of my job, but because she poured drinks on Dylan, why would she do that to my crush. But it would be crazy to tell her that, right? Of course, she would say that I’m crazy.
I quickly had my bath, got dressed and left for Dylan’s house afterward. Driving out of the house, I drove straight to the address that Mavis had sent to me. I asked her not to bother to come with me., I will take care of it myself.
After a few minute drives, I finally got to the front of the gate and drove in. Stepping out of the car after I had parked at the garage, I was wowed at the sight I behold. His house turned out to be bigger and more beautiful than my dad’s. It feels so good to be here, being at my crush’s house for the first time, isn’t that great?
Taking a deep breath, I prepared myself mentally, knowing I would possibly go through, stepping his house. From what I gathered for these past few weeks I’d known him I don’t need anyone to tell me that he’s really crazy.
Walking over to the entrance door which was closed, I couldn’t stop getting nervous. It’s ok to be nervous meeting your crush in his house for the stupid question? Why in the world will be following him?
“Don’t be ridiculous, dude, why the heck would I follow you, huh? And wait, what are you doing here?” I scoffed unbelievably. Like, is he mad? first time, right? Yes, I know that this is not why I’m here though. I took a deep breath before placing knock on the door and waited patiently for the door to be opened for me. After a while, the door finally opened and I almost froze at the sight I behold, it was the same jerk I had seen the other day, Kingsley! What the heck is he doing here?
“You again!!” we both exclaimed at the same time. Not again, please.
“Are you following me?” he asked and I couldn’t help the scoff that tore through my throat. Is he being serious right now? How could he even ask me that?
“I should be asking you that, what the heck a rude beauty is doing here?” a smirk laced up his lips and I shook my head. Wait! Don’t tell me he’s trying o flirt with me? He must be losing his mind.
“Ooops! My bad, come in and have a seat,” he said, leaving the door wide for me to come in and I glared at him before walking inside. I must confess that the interior design is worth it.
“What should I get for you?” he asked and I shook my head with a smile on my face, which was fake. Since I do not know the relationship between him and Dylan, I would just be in my best behavior, but he better respect himself if he doesn’t want to see the other side of me. I hate it when people try to mess with me.
“About the other day…”
“I’m not here for that, so please I’d like it if you can leave me alone and not stress me. I would like to see Dylan, please,” I said, and he pulled a puzzled look. He must be surprised why I’m here to see Dylan, but he can as well get it straight that it isn’t any of his business, right?
“You’re too rude for my liking,” he scoffed and I rolled my eyes at him.
“get me some water from the kitchen, Kinsley,” a voice said amid the footsteps descending the staircase. Snapping my head in the direction thinking that it was Dylan, my eyes slowly narrowed at the sight I behold. Even if it has been so long that I met him, I’ll never forget his face. But wait, what is he doing here? Now, I’m getting confused about this whole thing…
