Chapter 81 Revenge

As soon as Blanche sat down, Louis approached her. She felt a shadow cast over her and looked up.

"Do you have something on your mind?" Louis asked above Blanche's head.

Hearing this, Blanche was taken aback. "Is he actually concerned about me? It is just so unbelievable," she thought to herself.

"Just now, you thumped the table and cursed. What did you mean? Did someone bully you?" Louis felt a bit awkward saying those words, but he tried his best to remain composed.

Blanche was stunned. This man was truly concerned about her.

However, the thought of that despicable person with a wretch appearance made her stressed with Louis' concern. She shook her head guiltily.

"No, no one bullied me. I just didn't have a good sleep last night, and I am now feeling a bit tired."

"Did you really not sleep well last night?"

Louis had witnessed with his own eyes how soundly she had slept the previous night. She had breathed evenly, and even made him, who usually suffered from insomnia, feel drowsy.

"Does he know something?" Blanche wondered. She grew increasingly nervous because he was fixing his inquiring eyes on her.

Blanche suddenly realized that Louis must feel bad if he knew that she had slept with a stranger.

The wife of the president of the Herbart Group in Cloud City sleeping with a disgusting and ugly man was a big meal. Her cheating would definitely make the proud Louis a laughingstock.

Blanche shook her head and reasoned that she could not let Louis find out. Although she despised this man and wished he could die, it wasn't worth it to sacrifice herself to achieve that.

Blanche took a bite of bread. "Yeah, I didn't have a good sleep last night. You know, I almost didn't sleep in the earlier portion of the previous night because of those two jerks. It's natural for me to be in low spirits."

Louis continued to stare at her as if he didn't believe her.

"Well, I'm full. I'll go first."

Blanche wiped her mouth and got up.

After walking a few steps, she abruptly turned back. She couldn't let that despicable person off the hook.

"Did you hear what they said just now?"

"Who are you referring to?" Louis furrowed his brows.

"Well, I heard them saying that a despicable person sneaked into the hotel last night to peep at women. This kind of despicable person deserves to go to hell. I think you should send someone to find that scum. I hate this kind of jerk the most. If you catch him, let me teach him a lesson."

"Are you sure you want to deal with him?" asked Louis.

"Why do you keep looking at me?" Blanche whispered.

Louis chuckled. When he associated what Blanche had just cursed about with the conversation with the two employees earlier in the morning, he realized that she was quite mischievous and not foolish.

She must have discovered that someone had slept in her room the night before when she woke up. Now, she must believe it was that scum who had sneaked into her room.

However, Sam had already gone to investigate the man involved. That scum was one of Wilburn's lackeys, one that Louis had subdued. They were too busy with assassination tasks to peep at women.

Louis laughed inexplicably.

"Oh no! Has he seen through me?" she wondered.

"Forget it. There's no need to look for him anymore. He probably ran away already."

With those words, Blanche turned around and hurriedly left. She felt like she was an idiot. If they found that guy and he confessed to having slept with her, she would be too embarrassed to face anyone.

Blanche left the restaurant and went to the hotel to meet Eric. She wanted to go back home, but after searching for a while, she couldn't find him. The receptionist told her that Eric had already checked out.

Blanche felt frustrated. Eric actually left without even telling her after bringing her there.

She sat on a rock by the lake for a while, then took out her phone, intending to call Angela. Suddenly, her head was hit by a stone, causing a loud thud and excruciating pain.

Blanche immediately covered her head and turned around, glaring at the culprit. Cathy crossed her arms over her chest, saying, "Blanche, go to hell!"

Cathy had been boiling with anger since early in the morning. She had woken up early, and when she opened the door, she saw Louis quietly leaving Blanche's room. Even a fool could tell that Louis had spent the night in Blanche's room.

She believed that Blanche had lured Louis into Blanche's room by setting up a honey trap.

Blanche touched the back of her head, felt something wet, and found that she was bleeding. She then flared up and dashed toward Cathy.

"You're dead meat," roared Blanche.

Cathy looked behind Blanche and saw Louis walking toward them after a meeting.

Cathy decided to use the tactic of playing the victim to show Blanche's cruelty so that Louis would know how wicked Blanche really was.

Then, Cathy screamed at the top of her lung, "Blanche, what are you doing? Don't come any closer!"

Blanche was enraged and ignored Cathy's screams. She stormed a few steps forward and kicked Cathy into the lake. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Ouch!"

A loud splash followed.

Louis, who was not far away, came to a halt. His clear eyes widened in shock as he witnessed Blanche suddenly kicking Cathy into the lake.

Blanche looked at Cathy, who was struggling in the water, without a trace of guilt, fuming with rage and determined to take revenge today.

"Help me! Help!"

"Blanche!"

Blanche turned her head and found that it was Louis.

"Huh? He is supposed to be in a meeting, isn't he?" wondered Blanche.

"Help!" Seeing Louis approaching, Cathy pretended to be weak and dying, her voice growing thinner with each cry.

Blanche turned her head back. When she had just kicked Cathy down, she saw Cathy moving her arms a couple of times. But now, Cathy looked completely incapable of swimming.

Blanche understood that Cathy just didn't want to miss such an opportunity to be rescued by a hero.

Louis rushed toward Blanche and shouted at her, "You kicked her down! Hurry up and save her."

Because of what had happened last night, Louis felt a little guilty. But now, after he saw Blanche kick Cathy down without mercy at all, he lost the good impression of Blanche.

Angered by his yelling, Blanche became furious.

"If you want to save her, then go do it yourself. I kicked her down. Do you think I will save her? You must be out of your mind."

"Save her!"

"No way!" Blanche yelled back. She had been very frustrated in the morning, and now Cathy set her up, which caused Blanche to feel worse.

At their grandmother's birthday party, Cathy had set Blanche up, and Blanche hadn't even gotten revenge yet. Today, Blanche was determined to retaliate.

She believed that it was a very light punishment for Cathy t be kicked into the lake.

Louis turned his back to Blanche and clenched his fist on his side in a towering rage. "This woman has gone too far. I can't believe that I was actually attracted to her sometimes. Da*n! I must be out of my mind," he thought.

Suddenly, he turned back and grabbed Blanche by the neck.

"I'm asking you one last time. Will you go save her? If not, I will strangle you."

Blanche coughed a lot.

Feeling Louis' cruelty and hard grip, Blanche was about to be suffocated, but she was determined not to give in to him. She defiantly retorted, "I won't save her even if you strangle me. And let me tell you something. You better strangle me, or I will seek revenge on all of you. Not only will I make sure she dies, but I will also kill you. You bast*rd!"

With a thud, Louis felt that his head was hit by a hard object. Blanche even mentioned seeking revenge and killing him.

Louis went mad with anger, his eyes cold and his grip tightening even more.

"Just you? You're overestimating yourself."

Blanche roared, "I can bite you to death. While you're asleep, I'll snap your neck. If you have the guts, go ahead and strangle me right now!"

"Blanche!" Louis roared, gripping her neck harder and harder, but the next second, he let go of her and shoved her away.

He knew that if he didn't let go, Blanche would really be strangled to death.

Suppressing his anger, Louis glanced at Cathy, who was struggling desperately in the lake with her head barely above water. He ordered in a cold voice, "Sam, go save her."

Upon hearing that, Sam quickly got into the lake and dragged Cathy out of the water. Once on shore, Cathy shivered and hugged herself. Then she coughed violently and walked up to Louis.

"Louis, I was so scared. How could she be so ruthless? I didn't even provoke her. She came charging at me and kicked me into the lake. If it weren't for you, I would have drowned. I can't swim."

In fact, Cathy didn't expect that Louis wouldn't personally save her. It seemed that in Louis' eyes, she held no importance at all.

Seeing Cathy coughing and struggling to breathe, Louis glared at Blanche, tightly clenching his fist, his veins standing out.

Blanche glared back at the two people, then turned around and ran away. She went back to the hotel and grabbed a basket. Then she walked quickly to the orchard and started picking oranges, close to tears.

She thought, "This is too much. I don't want to come to this place anymore. In this place, I have terrible luck. Not only did someone try to assassinate me, but I was forced to lose my virginity and was even almost strangled by that jerk."

After picking the oranges that Angela wanted to eat, Blanche left. Even if she had to walk all the way, she would leave right away.
