Chapter 3 Anger
"Continue. What is the difference?"
Louis' eyes flickered when he captured the key information.
Maybe she had not been disfigured?
Blanche bent down to pick up the photo, raised her starry eyes, and said, "Honey, this photo beautifies me. The scar on my face is longer and uglier than in the photo. Who is this photographer? His skills are good. Can you give me his contact information?"
The blue veins on Louis's forehead popped out because he knew she was playing a trick on him again. And he did want to strangle her to death when hearing her shamelessly call him honey again.
Blanche was happy to anger him and secretly snorted. He had asked her to come downstairs when she had been about to have dinner. After she had come here, those people sat together and humiliated her together with a sense of superiority.
"Are you curious about my appearance? I can take off my mask and let you see my face. Anyway, you will see it sooner or later."
When Blanche raised her hand to take off the mask, Cathy held her breath, wondering how ugly she was.
"Stop it! Go back!"
Louis was so angry that he couldn't bear it any longer. She was ugly and stupid. And he suspected she was deliberately pissing him off.
"OK, I'll go upstairs."
After angering him, Blanche went upstairs with brisk steps. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
Staring after her, Tammy felt so depressed that she lamented, "How could such a thing happen to the Herbart family? Did I do many evil deeds in my previous life? Why did God send such an ugly woman to torture me? Ouch! I'm going to have a heart attack."
After returning to the bedroom, Blanche needed to take off her mask to eat. When she suddenly realized the servant was still in the room, the latter was curiously looking at her, wanting to see her ugly face.
"You can leave now. I'll call you when finishing eating."
"Yes, Mrs. Herbart."
After the servant went out, Blanche took off the mask.
However, there was no scar on her face. Her face was beautiful, her skin was tender, her eyes were clear, the bridge of her nose was beautifully curved, and her lips were red and attractive.
When Blanche had been twelve, her biological mother Lily died of a serious illness. Her father Benjamin soon married Dany with great fanfare and brought back Nicole who was one year older than her.
Dany and Nicole had always regarded her as a thorn in the side. One day, Nicole hired several gangsters to block her way home from school. They had held knives and said they would ruin her face.
If that boy hadn't saved her, she would have been disfigured. Then, she had turned Nicole's trick against her, bribed those gangsters, and asked them to tell Nicole she had been disfigured. Since
then, she had been wearing a mask.
Now, she hurriedly picked up a piece of braised pork, put it in her mouth, and happily enjoyed it. After half an hour, she finished eating.
The servant estimated Blanche had finished dinner, so she came upstairs and knocked on the door, intending to clean up the tableware.
Blanche was washing her face in the bathroom. She wore a mask all day long, so she felt stuffy on her face.
The servant waited for a while, but no one answered. Then, she opened the door and walked in without permission because Mr. Herbart would come upstairs soon. He had always been obsessed with cleanliness. If he saw the leftovers in his bedroom, he would blame her.
After washing her face, Blanche walked out of the bathroom.
Seeing her, the servant pointed at her face and exclaimed, "Mrs. Herbart, your face!"
The servant gaped at her. She had heard Mrs. Herbart was extremely ugly. But her delicate face had no blemishes at all! She could not believe her eyes and even suspected the pretty woman was not Mrs. Herbart! When she had been in the kitchen just now, the servants had gathered together and searched for Mrs. Herbart's photos online. In those photos. she looked ugly and terrifying.
Louis suddenly appeared at the door and snapped with a gloomy face, "How could you shout at night?"
