Chapter 7 – Left him and found another man?
“… Mr. Miller.”
The crowd looked at Eric with embarrassed faces.
Eric pest led in place, staring sullenly at Cindy’s departing back, even as the door was closed hard by her. His face was incomparably gloomy.
After two years of marriage, he had not understood this woman’s temperament at all.
She really did live up to the last name ‘Scott’ and was just as hard-headed as Lincoln Scott.
“You guys carry on.”
After a long time of indifference, Eric sat down without looking, playing with the cards on the table.
But the look on his face was impenetrable to speculation.
“Ahem!”
Tom is really smart, and quickly alleviates the atmosphere, “what are you standing around for? You are paid to stand around? All of you go up and dance.”
The procuress had a sense of sight, yelling at the girls present, and soon the booth was back to being glamorous.
Arthur and Tom were looking at each other secretly, afraid of accidentally annoying this ice-berg king again.
Eric was invaded with coldness.
…
Cindy came out of the clubhouse.
The roaring crowd and the noise of the city seemed to pull her back to reality at once.
How dare she just ‘slap’ Eric in public?
Cindy was first scared, then relieved.
She thought she seemed to have made the boldest decision of her life, yet it was the most obedient to her heart.
Maybe she should have recognized the marriage and Eric himself two years ago.
How could a man as noble and proud as he uses marriage to grow his business empire? And how did he choose herself?
It turns out that everything is just for revenge.
She had no home and was penniless, her relatives had already shunned her, and there was no place for her in the big city.
Cindy was walking aimlessly to the entrance of a coffee shop on the road when her cell phone suddenly rang.
As soon as she answered it, she was startled by the loud decibel on the receiver.
“Cindy, where the hell have you been? How come your house is empty? Did that bastard Eric do it?” Noman’s voice splintered with anger.
” Noman …” All of Cindy’s feigned strength finally collapsed at this moment, and she squatted down on the side of the road, ” I’m divorced… …”
“Don’t cry, don’t cry, where are you now?”
Noman suddenly panicked, he came out of the empty villa, directly onto the red Ferrari at the door, and quickly started the engine, “You stand still there, wait for me.”
She waited for an hour.
Cindy scolded Noman for being too inefficient while getting into his little sports car. Amidst the envious eyes of countless passersby, Noman drove his little sports car into his apartment in the city center.
The speed is so fast that Cindy’s eyes are blown red by the sand.
“I told you long ago that Eric was unreliable, and you didn’t believe me. Now it’s over, you’re practically dumping your family.”
Noman took her directly up to the 24th floor and turned on the lights of the apartment, which turned out to be a 400-square-foot apartment with a 360-angle overlooking the scenery of the river.
Cindy was dumbfounded, she changed her shoes and couldn’t help but walk to the floor-to-ceiling windows, the view was unobstructed, and her mood seemed to soothe a little.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
“This house … of yours is at least fifty million, right?”
“so? Now, do you regret it? I went racing in pursuit of my dream, my family has a lot of money and you do know it.”
Noman propped up on the wall with one hand and looked at Cindy in a gangly manner, “Do you want to think about it and marry me? I don’t mind a second marriage if it’s you.”
But he didn’t tell the truth, the house he had begged his mother to give him, a property in the name of the family business.
“Don’t talk nonsense.” Cindy turned around and drew two pieces of paper, blowing her nose while looking around, “I have no place to go for the time being, so I’ll stay with you for the next few days. When I earn money, I will make up the rent to you.”
Noman knew she was pretending and didn’t poke at it, but just persevered, “You’ll be fine for the rest of your life.”
Cindy rolled her eyes at him.
