Business Tycoon Pursues His Wife Wholeheartedly

Chapter 4: Going to the clubhouse but making a fool of yourself

The Augusta Club is the northernmost and most notorious of the gold caves, and as Cindy got out of the cab, she saw the big gold words towering into the clouds.

She had only taken a few steps up when she was stopped, “Hello Miss, do you have an appointment?”

The security officer surveyed her expensive-looking outfit and always felt a hint of familiarity.

But the look on her face was already dark, without any sense of a rich girl.

Cindy squeezed the dinner bag in her hand, which was probably the most expensive thing she had on her body at the moment, and which her mother had left her.

“I’m looking for Eric, the president of the Miller Group,” she took a deep breath as if she was flatly describing an unusual event.

The name was a resounding presence in New York City, and the waiter thought she was someone of Eric’s, so naturally, he didn’t dare to be rude.

“Yes, Miss, please wait a moment.”

Ten minutes later –

“Sorry Miss, Mr. Miller explained before he came into the club that he wouldn’t see anyone.”

After the briefing, he gave Cindy a begrudging glance. It was difficult not to be misunderstood when it was so cold and dressed so thin to find Mr. Miller.

In the cold wind, Cindy was stopped right at the door of the Augusta Club, her thin collarbones protruding visibly, and her pair of long, slender legs trembling.

All this was expected of her.

She knew it wasn’t that easy to see Eric.

Eric is purely to force her, force her to bow down, force her to cast her eyebrows to him.

But who is she? She is the daughter of Scott Group, Cindy, who was once loved and envied by thousands, she will not admit defeat so easily.

“Excuse me, can I go to your bathroom? I’m suddenly a little uncomfortable.” She took two quick steps forward, and it was hard not to feel sympathy for the gorgeous eyes that twinkled under her messy hair.

“There is a staff bathroom at the back door, you go back quickly!” The security at the door had some sympathy for her but did not dare to be sloppy.

“Okay, okay, thanks.”

There is a secret path leading to the back door of the Augusta Club.

Cindy, who has been receiving strange looks from people coming and going, went straight into the bathroom and unscrewed the door. The two women outside were putting on their makeup in the mirror while discussing, “I heard that there is a very powerful person in booth A today. As usual, Luna will not miss it, who knows she ate a crawfish allergy last night. She has a rash all over her body and can’t even see people, what a pity!”

But it was a wall away. When they walked away, Cindy also came out of the bathroom, her long, draped hair already up in a high coil.

She unscrewed the faucet and stared at her much thinner face in the mirror. Her eyes sank, and she already had an idea.

Inside booth A, it was not the glamorous look everyone thought it would be.

Some people are sitting on the sofa with a beautiful woman in their arms, mingling and feeding each other wine.

Eric was sitting in the middle of the table, absently touching his cards and eating the fruit handed to him by his female companion.

“Mr. Miller, I heard that a beautiful woman came to you just now and was returned by you?”

The middle-aged man sitting across from Eric, curiously asked, “Who was it?”

Eric paused in his card-touching motion and swept a glance at the man, “Who did Mr. Hunter think, it was?”

“I’m just curious to ask! Is it Mr. Miller’s ex-wife?”

The man’s words just finished. Arthur and Tom, who were sitting on the sofa playing mobile games, were stunned at the same time, and they couldn’t help but sweat for the president of this Havana property.

As expected, Eric’s eyes, were already gloomy down.

People who are familiar with Eric know that as long as his face is cold and sullen, it is the most dangerous time. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
