Bogus Billionaire By Shining Riviera

Chapter 588

Chapter 588

Caroline and Cheryl simply ate in silence. After taking their meals, they bought themselves coffee from one of the coffee shops along the street.

The shopkeeper recognized Marietta and couldn’t stop asking to take a picture with her.

Although Marietta was a person with a sharp tongue, she was surprisingly very kind to her fans

and agreed to the shopkeeper’s request without much hesitation.

Hence, Caroline and Cheryl waited for Marietta in the coffee shop.

When she was done taking photos with the shopkeeper, Marietta rejoined Caroline and Cheryl. Then, three of them went to a shopping mall nearby to get some clothes for Cheryl.

Cheryl paled when they entered one of the stores in the mall. “Caroline, aren’t the clothes here

super expensive?”

Just by glancing at the clothes on display, she could tell that the clothes in the store would cost

her an arm and a leg.

It came as a total surprise that the store would lay out a Portian Gulf carpet at its entrance for its

customers.

Caroline was about to speak when Marietta smiled and said, “Don’t worry about money. I’ll buy the

clothes.”

“No way. I can’t let you spend on my account.” Cheryl refused her offer. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“It was thanks to you that I managed to get a taste of Ciantean food. So it’s only natural that I want

to do something for you,” Marietta tried to convince her.

“It’s called repaying one’s kindness.”

Caroline smiled at her words. “Since Marietta’s put it that way, I should just give you your bonus in

the form of cash.”

Staring at the two women before her, Cheryl found herself at a loss for words.

She was so lucky to have such a good boss like Caroline, who helped her a lot at work and even

with her personal affairs.

“Caroline-” She started tearing up but was briefly interrupted by Caroline, who looked at her with

the eyes of a doting sister.

In truth, Caroline had always seen Cheryl as a little sister. “Let’s head in,” she said.

Cheryl nodded, and the three of them entered the store. When a staff member came to greet them,

Caroline pointed at Cheryl and said, “Find her an outfit fit for a date.”

The staff member, who had lots of experience selecting outfits, smiled.

“Okay. Don’t worry. Just leave it to me.” With that, she led Cheryl to try on some clothes.

Meanwhile, Caroline and Marietta were taken to the lounge to rest. It was elegantly designed, and

it reminded Caroline of Cook’s workshop, which looked very similar to this place.

Thinking of him reminded her of something particularly important.

After the wedding photoshoot, Cook had said that he would send her the photos, but he still hadn’t

sent her any photos at all. Maybe he had forgotten about it.

Caroline took her phone out and told Marietta that she was going to make a call. Then, she dialed

Cook’s number.

Soon, he answered her call. When he recognized her voice, he said, “You’ve finally called me! I

thought you didn’t want your wedding photos anymore!” He sounded pleasantly surprised.

Caroline scratched her nose. “Mr. Cook, did you forget that you told me that you would send them

to me?” she asked.

“But you never sent them.”

“Oh, right.” He chuckled.

“Kirk called me some time ago and told me not to send the pictures to you just yet. He asked me to

wait for him to give the green light.”

Caroline was startled at his words. “Why?”

“I’m not sure about that. He said that something could be ruined.” Cook told her.

“I’m not sure, though. Did something happen between you two?”

Out of the blue, Caroline felt a surge of warmth enveloping her heart.

She was about to say something when a loud slap shattered the silent atmosphere in the clothing

store.

“Where do you even come from, the slum? Who gave you the guts to use Rory’s fitting room? Are you tired of living?”
