CHAPTER THIRTY ONE
I summoned enough courage as I picked up a piece of bacon in my hand, and with fear, I carefully called Mr. Gavriel’s name before putting the bacon in his mouth.
“Mr. Gavriel, please eat your food,” I said as I wondered why he slept so deeply.
“Oh God, I am doomed,” I said as I forced the bacon into his mouth.
To my greatest surprise, I saw his mouth moving, like he was eating the bacon, and then a lot of questions appeared in my head.
Is Mr. Gavriel really asleep?
I really did not expect Mr. Gavriel to chew the bacon.
Is Mr. Gavriel doing this to punish me?
“But anyway, I am happy he is eating the food, at least I will be able to feed him more… and I have a lot of things to do,” I said to myself with a little bit of anger when I remembered that I had a lot to do.
I had to quickly feed him so that I would be able to finish my duty tonight.
With that courage I summoned, I started feeding him quickly but carefully, like a child, because I did not want him to wake up and shout at me.
I fed him some potato chips, then I used my already washed hands to extract the chicken meat out of the wings because of the bone they had.
I divided it into small pieces and fed them to Mr. Gavriel. I also did the same to the scrambled eggs and potato pies, the Manhattan meatballs, the Manhattan style clam chowder, and the cheese cake.
Within fifteen minutes, I had finally fed him half of the food.
The I picked up the glass cup where I put the juice as I reached it to his mouth, and luckily he took a sip of it.
I wondered if people who were asleep ate without knowing they were eating.
Finally, I had fed him to my satisfaction, at least I would be able to move ahead to get my other jobs done.
As I turned to leave with the leftover dishes I had in my hands so that I could drop them off in the dishwasher, I looked at Mr. Gavriel, and he was not in place properly, his head was bent, leaving his neck in a very bad position, which would leave him in pain when he woke up.
I headed straight to the kitchen as I dropped the leftover dishes in the dishwasher. When I was done washing the dishes, I decided to check on Mr. Gavriel, and when I did that, he was in a very bad position.
“Poor child,” I said to myself as I laughed at my stupid statement.
Who was I calling a child, my boss? I was sure he would kill me if he ever heard that.
I needed to do the laundry this night so that the work would not be on my neck in the morning.
Then a thought struck in my head.
“Yeah, exactly. Since Mr. Gavriel was around and asleep, I could use this opportunity to get him upstairs to lie down so he could get to sleep properly and I could get his already worn clothing so I could do the laundry,” I thought to myself.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
First, I ran to the second floor because I needed to know where his room was, and luckily for me, the second room I opened was a bedroom, and I knew immediately that it was his bedroom because it smelt like him. I did not bother looking in anymore as I ran down the stairs to get him to his room.
When I got down the stairs, I carefully put his hands on my shoulder, and we staggered upstairs to his room.
I was so thankful to God that he did not give me much stress while I was taking him to his room, though he was so heavy.
When we got to him, I carefully laid him on the bed.
Then I looked around the room, it was what was supposed to be called a master’s bedroom, it was so spacious and had everything a house should have, there was a dining table with four chairs, a space where was set for the living room, and a television to suit the taste, I could not see everything clearly because it was so dark in there.
Dark wallpapers, a blue light, dark purple curtains, and dark furniture-I just had to wonder why my boss, Mr. Gavriel, loved dark surroundings. Whatever it was, definitely it was business.
While his body was on the bed, his leg was still touching the floor, and he still had his suit and shoes on.
“This man is purposely doing this to me,” I said to myself as I peered at his sleepy face. I definitely knew he was doing this to know my reaction because it was so obvious that he was destined to make my life miserable.
I carefully carried his leg and placed it on the bed as I pulled off his shoes and stockings, then I placed it in a corner.
“I have to clean the shoes, right?” I asked myself, then I remembered that I had some clothing that I obviously will not wear again. I brought it for the purpose of cleaning things, maybe this was the reason I brought it.
Immediately, I rushed to my bedroom as I opened my drawer, pulled out the clothes, and ran back to Mr. Gavriel’s room.
I needed to do anything I was doing fast because I did not want him to wake up and see me in his room, if that eventually happened, it would be my death.
Then I carefully opened the door as I sat at one end of the bed and picked up the shoe, which I cleaned with the cloth I brought from my room seconds ago.
After that, I glanced around the room while I was looking for a polish or spray so I could do justice to the shoe.
