Beverly

Chapter 15

Clyde Dante

We all finished cleaning the house after BBQing. Beverly helped a lot and from the look of her face… she’s tired. I can sense that. I told her to go up and rest but she kept insisting that she will help me.

Seeing Anna today makes me happy but not happy like really happy that I will go back to her. It’s been a long time since I saw her… that’s why.

I saw her helping take out the trash without being gross about it and I chuckled seeing her struggling to open the door. I ran to her and opened the door for her.

“Thanks.” She smiled and then she walked out from the door. I helped her to throw all the trash and we’re done.

“Let’s take a shower and then go to bed.” I said and she nodded. She walked in first and walked up stairs to my room. I walked into the kitchen to wash my hands and took a glass of water.

“You were excited to see Anna.” My grandma said as she entered the kitchen.

“It’s been a long time since the last time I saw her.” I said.

“I like Anna but… I kinda like Beverly better.” She smiled and patted my arm. I raised my eyebrows when she stated that. She doesn’t know Beverly, if she knows… she will hate her. Definitely hate her. Anna and Beverly are like day and night.

I took out a can of soda and opened it. I sat down on the sofa and sipped it. I closed my eyes for a moment and finished all the soda. I walked up and threw the empty can to the trash bin. I walked into the room and found Beverly already in her PJs. She yawned and walked to the sofa.

“Good night.” She said.

“Yeah. Good night.” I said as I walked into the bathroom. I took a shower quickly and realized that I didn’t my clothes again. I walked out from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my hips. I took my clothes and my eyes landed on Beverly.

She’s sleeping peacefully and it made me walk towards her without me knowing. I smiled looking at her like this. She’s talkative when she’s awake and the interesting about her is that you will always find a topic for us to talk about. She’s kinda smart and it’s always get interesting when she told me about her opinion. Somehow it’s crazy and… creative.

I walked back to the bathroom and put on my clothes on. I walked out and sat on my bed. And again… my eyes landed on Beverly. I walked to her and sighed. I picked her up slowly and brought her to my bed. I caressed her hair and looked at her.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

This girl is full of secrets… I don’t even know 1% of her.

I got up and walked downstairs. I took a can of beer and sat down on the sofa looking out to the garden.

“You okay?” My dad asked as he sat on the edge of the sofa.

“I’m fine.”

“Bev’s sleeping?” He asked.

“Yeah, she’s tired.” I answered and then I sipped my beer.

“What do you think about Beverly, dad?”

“When I first saw her, she looked like this rich and fancy woman. My first impression about her wasn’t good and added when she told us that she loves your money.” My dad chuckled and I chuckled remembering that.

“As the time goes by, she’s kinda unpredictable.” My dad added and I nodded.

“She is.”

“She’s a kind of girl that you will never even notice that you’re falling hard for her. When she’s there… you kinda get annoyed sometimes but when she’s not there… you’ll miss her like crazy.” My dad said and I just laughed it off. That’s not true, dad. She’s my fake fiance and I will never fall hard for her.

“Do you love her?” My dad suddenly asked.

“I won’t marry her if I don’t.” I turned to him disbelief.

“Really? Because you don’t look like you’re falling in love.” He said and then left me alone. I can’t believe he said that. Is my acting really that suck? I need to practice with Beverly tomorrow or else… We will get caught.

I walked upstairs bringing my beer with me and walked into my room. I sat on the sofa and closed my eyes. Man, I’m tired. Not long after that, I went to dreamland.

“Clyde… Clyde.” I opened my eyes slowly.

“Hmm what?”

“Go move to the bed.” Beverly said and I sat up straight. I turned my head to the window and it’s still dark.

“Move to the bed.” She repeated it and I nodded lightly. I’m still not fully awake. I got up and realized something.

“Wait… why are you waking me up?” I asked and she pinched the back of my head. Yup it hurts…

“Go.” She said as she pushed me. I stopped walking and turned to her. She’s already laying down on the sofa. I shrugged and threw myself back to my bed. I closed my eyes again… and… I can’t sleep. I sat back up and turned my head to see Beverly. She’s already sleeping again. Unbelievable.

I rolled my head and yup it hurts. I think my sleeping poses were really weird until my muscles hurts. I got up and tucked her blanket until it reaches her chin. I kneeled and smiled looking at her.

“You’re such a weird girl.”
