Belong to the Lycan Alpha

Chapter 8

It hurt Lilac when she had to crane her neck in order to look at Hunter, because he was very tall and it didn’t help when they were standing so close with each other. Lilac could smell his scent and he smelled so good. Even his scent alone was so dominant, just like him…

“Be my woman in the party,” he said lightly, as if he was asking about the weather.

“What? Are you crazy? Don’t you know who am I?” Lilac was speechless, she blurted out the question not because she was some kind of important person, but because she was very sure this alpha had heard about the rumor out there, more so, he also knew she was Aiden’s mate… what his purpose to ask her to come to the party with him?

“I know you. You are the alpha’s son’s mate. The future luna of the pack. Or, should I say “was“? I heard about the rumor around. People really loved to gossip.”

Lilac didn’t look great when she heard his confession, but sha appreciated his bluntless.

The main event of this whole lively festivity was the party to celebrate the peace treaty between the packs. This would be the first time they gathered together as an ally, after such a long war between the werewolf and the lycan. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Therefore, there was no way Hunter didn’t have any hidden agenda for taking her to the party with him, especially when he knew, who she was.

“In that case, I think I need to turn you down. Whatever plan you have, it will be futile. You should ask the other woman, if you want to piss Aiden, she is the one, who is carrying his child.” Lilac knew and her voice became a little bit bitter when she spoke…

“I don’t think Aiden will care much about the woman,” Hunter said lightly, he tilted his head, staring at her eyes directly. In this dimly lit dark corner of the alley, her eyes shone brightly, they filled with anger, her l*ps pressed into a thin line because she was trying to hold back her emotion. “He will not approach you in public and take a risk to offend that woman if he really cares about her.”

Lilac narrowed her eyes. She couldn’t fathom what was going on in his mind or what he actually wanted from her. “What do you want from me?”

Hunter shrugged and he grinned again. “I am going to help you to get your revenge.

“I never said I want one,” Lilac quickly retorted and the lycan rolled his eyes, which made her felt uncomfortable, because he could read her easily. She remembered what luna Jasmine taught her about not showing her emotions to her opponent.

It was a tricky position to be a luna and even though it sounded easy and fun to be the second person in authority for the pack, and was well respected by people, but there were a thousand thing she needed to learn and the more important part was to not let go of yourself, to be aware of your surroundings, you also should be able to read between the lines.

Lilac had done everything, she excelled in all of her lesson with the luna, but right now, all of her effort and her sleep deprived nights had gone to the drain… thanked to her mate betrayal,

“I know you want one,” Hunter said in convincing tone.

Lilac tried to let go of his hand that gripped her wrist, but she couldn’t free herself. She felt like she was

going to break her wrist instead if she kept trying. “I don’t.”

“At this point, you lose nothing to come with me to the party.” Lilac was dumbfounded by the way he insisted to take her as his woman to the party. “Are you afraid of what people in this pack will think

about you? Or you don’t want to create trouble for the man, who has dumped you?”

Both. If Lilac could be honest, it was both…

“Don’t try to pin me against my own pack, it will not work.” Lilac tried harder this time, but instead of letting her go, Hunter pulled her closer and spun her b*dy around, until her back hit the wall, as he trapped her between his arms. “What are you doing?!” Lilac forgot her misery at this time, as she was genuinely afraid what this alpha was going to do to her. He didn’t look sane enough in her eyes right now.

“I know it’s you…” Hunter mumbled under his breath, but Lilac didn’t notice that at all, as she tried to push him away.

“Get off me! I will scream if you don’t move away!”

“You are already screaming.” Hunter pointed it the obvious, but what he didn’t expect was; Lilac actually shifted into her beast form and claw his face, which made his cheeks were oozing out blood. The blood dripped to the ground and stain his clothes.

Out of surprised, Hunter took a step back, he didn’t see it coming at all.

On the other hand, Lilac was stunned to see she had hurt the alpha lycan. It would cause a deep misunderstanding and more trouble than simply her hurting a random man.

After all, he was here for peace treaty, but she hurt him instead. It could be seen as a betrayal and another war was a possibility in the future.

Lilac immediately shifted back into her human form. She didn’t dare to approach Hunter, but she didn’t run away either. She stood there silently and watched how his wounds healed. Thankfully, after two full minutes, all left was blood on his cheeks and his shirt.

“I don’t know you are so feisty, little wolf,” Hunter spoke in his deep and dark voice, which sent shiver down Lilac’s spine.

Lilac dreaded the thought of what Hunter would do to her.
