CHAPTER TEN
This morning it was Hana who was in charge of making breakfast because Jeffran himself asked for it. From the dining table, Adriel silently watched Hana’s every move, her appearance this morning was simple and closed, Hana wore a hoodie and training pants a little too big so that her distended stomach felt comfortable and protected. But what Adriel couldn’t deny was that Hana’s image from last night was still vivid in his head. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
On the other hand, David was also glancing at his brother and sister-in-law alternately without the others noticing.
“Hana, come eat with us. Sit near Adriel.” The voice from Jeffran made Adriel’s secret activities stop, Adriel immediately turned his gaze to another direction, as well as David who was now getting ready to eat his breakfast.
Getting an invitation from Jeffran, Hana first looked at Adriel for approval, afraid Adriel didn’t want her to sit near him. But Adriel didn’t answer, he just looked away nonchalantly.
“Just sit down, don’t be shy like that. Usually you’re the one who’s shy too.” Tamara said with a faint smile glancing at Hana.
“Tara!” said Jeffran rebuking his wife with an elevated tone making Tamara pursed her lips.
“Hana sit down quickly.” Jeffran continued.
Seeing Jeffran sour face, Hana hastily pulled a chair near Adriel and sat there immediately. She didn’t want to see the commotion between Jeffran and Tamara just because of her. They started breakfast in silence, only the clinking of spoons and forks could be heard. Hana ate slowly, she was afraid that if he ate with careless movements, she might disturb Adriel who was now beside her.
“Hana.” Call Jeffran back.
Hana who heard that immediately looked up at her father-in-law.
“I think it’s good if you live alone with Adriel in his private apartment.”
TAK
The sound of a spoon sounded loud when Jeffran spoke his opinion. And none other than Adriel, he did not accept his father’s opinion. How could it be in his private place that he had to live alone with the person he really wanted to avoid.
“Are you kidding me? Come on, it’s my private place. You know that’s not why I bought the place. I don’t agree.” Reject Adriel.
“Poor to be rejected.” Tamara quipped who was still casually bribing the food into her mouth.
“TARA!.”
“Okay-okay. Just defend your favorite daughter-in-law.”
Hana bowed her head back, always like this. Her in-laws will definitely fight because of her, Hana should be aware.
“Dad, I think living here is enough for me. If I lived there I would feel lonely because Adriel left work.” Hana dared to speak, this seems like the right choice.
“Good. At least your duty here as a maid doesn’t go unnoticed, it’s a pity that aunt Laksmi has to work alone.” Tamara spoke again, he smiled sarcastically at Hana, look. Even Adriel didn’t defend her at all.
“Sis.” A voice is calling. No, not Adriel was called. But it was David who called Hana.
“Yes? you called me?” Hana asked because David was facing her, David also happened to be sitting on the opposite seat.
“Are you busy after this?” he asked Hana to which Hana nodded.
“I have to clean up the dirty dishes after this.”
David looked around, paying attention to everyone at the dining table. He looked back at Hana.
“I guess it’s still a long time until breakfast time is over, I want to ask you for help Sis. Please check my report. I trust you.” David stood up and finished his breakfast, “I hope Adriel will allow me to borrow Hana’s sister for a while.” David looked directly at Adriel coldly, and it was replied by Adriel no less cold.
“Hmmm… take it. I’d be happy if you kept it away from me anyway.” He said.
Again.
Adriel quipped with a sentence that was enough to make Hana aware of her status that wasn’t even registered with the law. The status of a couple that was only a sentence, with a heart that he was hardened, Hana stood up slowly and followed David from behind. In silence, Adriel glanced at Hana’s back who had now disappeared from the dining room.
“I’m done. I’ll go first Daddy.” Adriel put down the spoon and fork he was using.
“Why so early? It’s still too early. If you can take Serran with you.”
“No dad, I have to go to the airport.”
“Airport? For what?”
“To drop a friend off. I’m leaving.” After asking permission from his father, Adriel took his coat and bag rushed to go to the airport.

.
Adriel drove his car very fast, he almost forgot to take Vania to the airport because of Hana’s problem which he had to discuss at home with his father. Hana was really a bad influence on him. Adriel had no idea. Plus, since when did David get close to Hana?.
“Shit! Focus Adriel!”
Yes, the friend he will be delivering is Vania. There’s no way Adriel will tell his father, he might get angry from Jeffran.

“Are you okay?” David said looking at Hana who kept her head down.
“Me? I’m okay, what’s wrong with me? Which report should I check?” Hana changed the subject.
“Oww… that. I forgot that the report was with Rita, later when he comes here you will check. Actually it’s a group project, but I’m not sure about Rita’s work.”
Hana nodded.
“Then I’m going, I have to clear the dining table.” Hana was about to leave David’s room but her steps were stopped because he was being held.
“Wait a moment.” David removed his hand from Hana’s wrist, he walked towards the small drawer in his room to take something from there.
“This.” Was handed a small vial with a pill in it.
“What is this?” asked Hana who was now looking at the small bottle.
“It’s a vitamin, I heard it’s good for pregnant people.”
“Really? Why did you give it to me? Sorry in advance, don’t you hate me David?”
David looked away.
“Kheemm… for that matter, I apologize. I had a bad feeling towards you at first. After all, it was as my apologies and I feel sorry for you.” David answered in a doubtful tone.
Hana smiled, she was relieved. There was at least one more person who accepted her in this house. Hana unconsciously cried.
“Thank you.” She said sincerely to David.
David looked away again when his gaze accidentally met Hana’s. He had to control himself. He had to remember that Hana was his own brother-in-law.
