Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 610

"Anthony, thank you for treating me to dinner tonight. You're such a gentleman for escorting me on a walk!"

An obvious smile appeared on Isabella's face as she gently held onto his shirt. She then stared deeply into his eyes as though she had fallen in love with him.

He responded with a faint smile while he extended his hands and pulled out a lock of her hair that was tucked under her coat, "No, I'm the one who's supposed to be thankful instead. Isabella, you're such a wonderful young lady! It's my pleasure to have met you. If it wasn't for you..."

If it wasn't for her and Mr. Grint's help, his bank loan wouldn't have been approved that easily. At long last, there was finally hope for him. The approval of his loan was indeed an accomplishment.

He only wished that the loan would've been approved earlier.

As he looked at Isabella, Anthony felt a pang of guilt rooted in his words. He was ashamed that he took advantage of her feelings for him. Frankly, he did not feel the same towards her at all!

Her cheeks were flushed as she swiftly interrupted him, "Don't worry about it, Anthony! You don't have to be so courteous with me, I'm more than willing to do anything for you!"

She bit the corner of her lips while she looked at him shyly.

"Isabella..."

Her delicate voice made him feel even more guilty than before, "Actually... I'm sorry. I'm just..."

Uncertain with his words, a twinge of hesitation flashed across his eyes while he clenched his fists tightly and said, "What I'm trying to say is... Could we start as friends? My feelings for you are actually..."

The words were on the tip of his tongue, yet he couldn't bring himself to utter them! On the other hand, the desperation in Isabella's eyes, who stood in front of him, made it harder for him to confess the cruel truth. Besides, there were more urgent matters in hand for him to worry about currently. After all, he needed her father's help to apply for the bank loan too!

At the same time, the Clements family was onto pressing matters as well!

With a faint bitterness in her smile, she grabbed his wrist and spoke.

"Anthony, I understand! You really don't have to say another word. Please don't be pressured to repay me. I'm merely doing this by my own will! I'm genuinely happy that you've already treated me with such kindness..."

At least he wasn't deceiving her with his persuasive words! On the other hand, she firmly believed that he was worth it. She was convinced that her efforts would pay off eventually! Besides, it wasn't a big deal if a lady had feelings for a man anyway.

As she stared deeply into his soul, fire lit up from the bottom of her eyes as though she was determined to win his heart.

At that moment, he was as still as a statue while his eyes were also fixed on her.

While tiptoeing, she took the initiative to gather her courage as she tenderly kissed him on his forehead. She then held onto his arms while she smiled.

"That was a kiss to end our wonderful day. Let's look forward to a better tomorrow! Hehe, let's head home now!"

Right then, a similar scene flashed across Anthony's mind. His eyes went blank for a few seconds before he felt a throbbing pain in his temples. The trace of an unbearable pang pierced his heart in a split second as he firmly closed his eyes and his footsteps gradually became heavier.

Victoria, who stood from a distance, was unable to hear their entire conversation. Despite this, a glimpse of the both of them together was still like sprinkles of salt that rubbed against her wound; it once again tore her heart apart.

As soon as the both of them emerged from the shadow of a tree, he glanced over his shoulder and saw Victoria, who stood on the opposite side of the crossroad. He froze on the spot as he was utterly shocked to see her at that very moment.

Concurrently, she came to her senses and averted her eyes away from them while she immediately strode away in a different direction.

In that instant, the food that was stuffed in her mouth seconds ago had fallen to the ground and her vision became faintly blurred once again. Without a second thought, she instantly rushed back to the entrance of East Bannpool. All of a sudden, she stumbled and the snacks that were previously in her hand fell to the ground as well. She immediately came to a stop as tears began to roll down her cheeks. She helplessly squatted down on the ground as she wrapped her hands around her knees and burst into tears,

"Why?" "How did it come to this?"

Right then, flashes of unpleasant memories flooded across her mind. Heartbreaking moments like Trevor's womanizing behavior and Anthony's betrayal started to haunt her. Looking at the snacks that fell on the ground, she bawled continuously like a baby.

What sin did she commit to deserve all these punishments that she faced recently. It was merely an accident where she was the biggest victim! Trevor took advantage of her while Anthony betrayed her and had nothing to lose!

What about herself?

These moments scarred her for the rest of her life!

Her relationship, dreams, and even the simple life that she wished for shattered into pieces right at that moment!

God was extremely merciless towards her!

He deliberately starved Victoria and allowed these two scumbags to ruin her life. Moreover, the both of them were still allowed to roam around freely! Hatred engulfed her heart.

She firmly clenched her fists in anger. Overwhelmed by the emotions that were surging through her, she suddenly collapsed on the ground...

At that moment, the city's nightlife had just begun and many were going in and out of East Bannpool's front entrance. It wasn't long before a crowd surrounded her.

"Miss, can you hear me? Are you alright?"

"What happened? Miss, are you okay?" "Ah, what a beauty! Why are you bawling your eyes out? Did someone bully you?"

"You might be right!"

"Stop staring at her. Let's leave now! We should worry about ourselves before we get into any sorts of trouble..."

"Miss, are you alright?"

Multiple voices drowned in Victoria's ears as she was squatted on the ground. She merely ignored their voices and remained still while her wails continued.

After all, commotions were indeed a

common thing at the entrance of a nightclub. Frankly, it was a place packed with various complicated hooligans. It wasn't a surprise to see people getting drunk and caught up in quarrels or fights. Occasionally, corpses could actually be found in the nightclub. Yet the security guards would typically turn a blind. eye towards it as long as there wasn't any trouble.

Gradually, more people gathered around the entrance. Her emotional breakdown had obstructed the entrance to the nightclub and it was obviously getting out of hand. The security guards could no longer ignore the commotion and swiftly headed towards the entrance,

"Excuse me, please move aside..."

"Everyone please leave now and stop being nosy!"

The security guards struggled to disperse the crowd as more people started swarming Victoria in curiosity. The longer they stayed to evacuate the crowd, the more the passers-by gathered.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

She was clearly unaware of the large number of eyes that were fixed on her at that very moment. The only thing that was visible to her were the snacks that were on the ground as she cried,

"Sob..."

Surprisingly, the security guards were courteous towards her. Judging from her dress, they were well-aware that she was a lady who just came out from the nightclub earlier.

"What seems to be the problem, miss? Are you injured? Do you need me to call you a taxi? Or..." Maybe the police?

The last few words were merely hovering in their mouths, yet none of them dared to complete their sentence.

At that moment, both the security

guards stared at each other with a

l

look of agreement written on their faces. Calling the police was absolutely out of the question unless they had no other choice. After all, it was indeed illegal to be part of the nightclub business. Thus, they chose to handle the situation privately without causing any more trouble.

"Miss?"

Staring at each other in dismay,

neither of them had the guts to make another rash move. It was most likely because they were afraid of the unnecessary accusations, "So it's true, the nightclubs' people are undeniably good for nothing scumbags! The troubles that you could bump into are unimaginable!"

Despite all their efforts, Victoria did not budge at all; she simply remained still while she squatted silently on the ground. One of the security guards continuously tapped his partner's shoulder as he softly asked, "What should we do? Should we get her some tissues or should we tell her to leave?"

All of a sudden, a random passer-by shook his head and shouted, "If I'm not wrong, I think she arrived here in a Ferrari!"

As soon as they heard those words, the security guards immediately knew that she wasn't a woman they should mess with! Coincidentally, Trevor, Wyatt and Willy had walked out of the entrance right at that moment. Drawn towards the commotion that occurred in front of them, Wyatt then lifted his head and curiously asked.

What's going on? Why is there a crowd gathered over there?"
