Chapter 200
Chapter 200
"The police won't handle such matters at night and that man is still in surgery. They also don't know whether the assaulter was Miss Blanchard, therefore nobody reported it! I asked over the phone just now and they said she had intentionally wounded the other party. She can't be bailed for now!"
Looking back at Chet, Frederick had shock written all over his face.
"Where did it happen? Who was it? Is that person dead? Call Noah now! I don't care what methods you use, get her out of there now!"
"The lawyers have already gone over..."
With this, Chet shook his head, implying that it did not work. If he could have bailed her out, would he have to trouble Frederick?
"The one who was injured... was the person I mentioned yesterday... the upstart! It was at Hiddleson Hotel!
"Why would she go to Hiddleson Hotel for no reason? Why aren't you speaking up? Why are you stuttering?
Frederick suddenly realized something. "Don't tell me that you called her there? Wasn't it supposed to be today?"
Instantly, Chet's head drooped so low that it was almost hitting the ground.
"Frederick, I'm so sorry, it's all because of my negligence! I was so busy yesterday that I didn't notice; I was supposed to arrange for a woman to go over but the secretary picked up the wrong number. She had taken Miss Blanchard's number and—"
In that instance, Frederick's face darkened. He swung his arms and punched Chet. He was furious. "How do you do things? Did you make a mistake on this matter? I'll hold you accountable if anything happens to her!"
'Tm really sorry!"
"What are you waiting for? Get in the car!"
Frederick grabbed his phone and called Carson.
"Check if there was anyone sent to the hospital last night for a stab wound. How's the situation... It's a Miller, he was sent from Hiddleson Hotel! Quick!"
Looking through his phone, Frederick asked Chet, "Do you know the situation regarding that upstart?"
"I've sent people to investigate, his details will be sent over immediately!"
"If we can't bail her out, find some way to make him drop the charges! Even if he dies, it must be selfdefense; she must be not guilty!" As Frederick spoke, Chet's email notification rang. He gave Frederick his phone immediately.
In no time, Frederick gave Willy a call. "I need your help!"
When they arrived at the police station, Noah was already waiting there!
After understanding the situation, Frederick said, "It's okay if I can't take her away now but I have to see her! I'll be with her until I can take her home!"
"I understand, I'll go make some arrangements!"
Turning around, he glanced at Chet coldly. "Use all connections we have to pressure them! I want to bring her home as soon as possible!"
"Understood!"
Chet then took out his phone and walked toward a tree outside.
Soon, Frederick and Noah followed a staff member to the detention room. Noah explained the situation in a low voice as they walked.
"I heard that it was about ten o'clock last night. A woman called the police and she was arrested. They detained her following the standard procedure because they don't process cases like this at night. Currently, the hospital hasn't given any news yet and that person should still be in surgery, hence there are no charges yet. She can't be bailed because the situation was bad... She stabbed the man's genitals and I heard that it was done quite ruthlessly too. Blood was everywhere..."
Frederick did not care about what happened to the man. "Is she alright?"
"All I know was that a woman with disheveled hair was taken away holding a blood- stained knife. I don't know the details!"
Disheveled hair?
Pursing his lips, Frederick clenched his fists unconsciously. He could figure that she did all because she didn't want to be assaulted!
His heart sank and he regretted his decision to the depths of hell.
Right at this moment, a familiar scream from a woman was heard. "Ah-"
Alicia?
There was a half-opened iron door and he dashed in. Looking up, he saw a bed in the corner. Alicia was there; her clothes torn and she had blood all over her. She was pushed against the wall, her hair disheveled. On top of her was a man in casual clothing. He was pressing against her elbow, a belt in his hands, his pants halfway down, revealing his underwear. They were entangled and the sight was a mess.
Frederick kicked the man off the bed. He turned around and struck him again before stepping on his groin. He raised his arms and the man was met with two punches; one had him coughing blood as a tooth fell out.
"How dare you touch my woman? You're courting death!"
Noah and the staff member were startled by the scene. They quickly pulled the two of them apart. "Frederick, calm down!" Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
"Thomas Leonard, what the hell are you doing? Are you drunk?" the staff member yelled.
The man crouched, a hand holding his pants and another covering his face. He groaned, "D*mn what a sl*t! I just touched her hand and she bit me! You're out selling your body anyway and it's not like I'm not paying! What are you pretending for?"
As the man rambled on, a storm was going on in Frederick's eyes. "Say one more word, do you believe that I'll kill you now?"
He turned around and wanted to strike the man again but Noah held him back.
"Frederick-"
Chet had rushed in and instantly paled from the shock. Frederick's eyes were burning red; Chet was afraid that he would make matters worse, hence he blocked Frederick's view with his body.
"Frederick, take care of Miss Blanchard first!"
The words splashed on Frederick like cold water. He turned around and saw Alicia curled up in a corner, huddled like a poor, tiny animal. Her hair was a mess and there were cuts all over her clothes, exposing her fair skin with bleeding wounds. Her stockings were torn and she was not even wearing shoes, her feet shivering. She wrapped her arms around her knees protectively. Her half- covered face was full of dirt and there were scratches all over her arms, blood all over her.
She looked absolutely terrible; no one could bear looking at those wounds. Words could not describe his feelings at that moment.
What did she go through? How did things turn out like this?
He swallowed his saliva, feeling a lump in his throat. Taking off his jacket, he slowly stepped forward.
"Ally-”
His hand reached closer as a fierce glare was directed at him with a hissing sound like a hurt animal. At that moment, he was stupefied by her gaze; it was a raw and violent one. Her eyes were striking red with a determination of dragging her perpetrators down even if she were to die. He froze in place immediately!
The next second after he paused, as though her strength had left her, Alicia buried her face between her arms. Hugging her knees, she scooted further against the corner. The way she resisted and tried to protect herself was as though she wanted to turn into a ball, squeeze into a crack in the wall and hide there.
The three men could not help but tear up.
Slowing down his movements, Frederick spoke as gently as he could, "Don't be scared! Ally, I won't hurt you! Look, I am Frederick! I just wanted to put this jacket on you, don't be afraid..."
Slowly, he approached her little by little and placed his jacket over her trembling body. Wrapping it around her petite body, feeling her light breath and warmth, he held her tight in his embrace.
"There there! I won't let anyone hurt you ever again..."
