Chapter 255
Chapter 255
As for Sarah, he had got plenty of ways to deal with her, but how the hell was he gonna face Violette?
After last night's events, he was more sure than ever that he was still head over heels for Violette.
He can't lie to himself, and he can't forget her either.
He bumped into Lacey and Makayla as he came out of the bathroom.
"Sir, Makayla was waiting for you all night," Lacey said.
Elijah's mind immediately flashed to Violette's face!
He vaguely remembered Violette coming to him last night, telling him that Makayla was crying and
asking him to come back!
His heart suddenly clenched.
Did Violette really go looking for him last night?
He clearly remembered her coming to his room,
and the two of them cuddling in bed...
So why the hell did he wake up with Sarah beside him?
"I couldn't get through to your phone last night, so I called Violette. She promised to let you know, but
you didn't come back... She must not have found you." Lacey guessed.
Makayla cried until 3 in the morning, only stopping when she was too exhausted to continue.
Lacey was also wiped out.
Elijah's heart suddenly tightened!
The light in his eyes dimed, and his voice trembled a bit: "She came to find me... I heard her tell me
that..."
Lacey: "Oh, you drank too much last night, huh? You still smell like alcohol. I'll go make you some
hangover soup."
After Lacey left, only Elijah and Makayla were left in the room.
Elijah looked at Makayla
, whose eyes were red and swollen.
"Makayla, why were you crying last night? Did you miss your brother?" he asked softly.
Makayla lowered her head and shook it: "That person hit me... I was scared..."
Elijah hugged her sympathetically: "Did you have a nightmare? That person is long dead... Makayla,
he'll never show up again! Your brother will protect you! No one will bully you anymore!"
Makayla sobbed with a grievance: "You weren't here last night..."
"I'm sorry. I drank too much last night," Elijah apologized.
After coaxing his sister to sleep, Elijah changed into a new set of clothes from the closet.
His memories from last night seriously didn't match up with reality.
He can't tell what was real and what was fake.
He needed to ask Violette.
Silverleaf Ridge.
A black Rolls-Royce stopped in front of the villa.
As soon as Albina saw his car, she didn't hesitate to close the front gate!
"Grandma, why are you closing the gate?" Rita asked, confused. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Albina frowned: "Elijah is outside. You're not allowed to open the door for him!"
Rita immediately nodded and ran off to find her brother.
Outside, Elijah looked at the closed gate, took out his phone, and dialed Violette's number.
