Upon seeing Hunter, Jenna's eyes flashed with calculation as she quickly threw herself into his arms, quietly sobbing.

"Hunter, I'm sorry. I never should have asked for the bracelet! If I hadn't, Mia wouldn't be so upset."

"The doctor told you to keep your emotions in check, didn't he? Why are you crying now?" Hunter frowned, his expression showing displeasure. However, his tone was gentle, making it clear just how much he cared for the woman in his arms. "Hunter, the bracelet belongs to her. I'm not worthy of wearing it." Jenna clutched his hand, placing the bracelet back in his palm, looking both humiliated and defeated.

Even though she was also married into the family, Mr. Jasper Sr. hadn't acknowledged her at all on her birthday, not even a single gift. Meanwhile, he had given Mia shares in Genesis Corporation and the family's antique bracelet.

Mia could dream of getting that bracelet back, but it wasn't happening.

Her smile was radiant, as if she couldn't be happier. But no one knew how deeply she was hurting inside.

Hunter, standing right there, had handed the bracelet over to Jenna without hesitation, speaking as if Mia didn't even exist. He didn't see her as his wife at all.
