Mia was beautiful, intelligent, and independent. She was a top law graduate from the prestigious university in Haven City. Girls like her were one in a million, and her marriage to Hunter was an honor for the Jasper family.

Hunter wiped the blood from his forehead, a bitter smile tugging at his lips. "If Mia divorces me, who's going to handle the mess at her family's business? Who's going to pay for her grandmother's expensive medication? With her salary, she couldn't even afford the clothes she's wearing right now. Trust me, she won't and she can't file for divorce."

He was certain Mia wouldn't leave him.
