After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities

Chapter 842

Chapter 842

"Miss Vita, you look familiar," Sylvia said as she took the orange Brayden offered her. The sweet and

sour taste of the fruit filled her mouth.

"It seems like you've been spending time with Yasmin," Sylvia continued, curious about Vita's activities.

Vita nodded carefully and replied, "I had nothing to do during winter break, so I stayed with Mrs. Wright.

We went out shopping for groceries occasionally."

"I see," Sylvia nodded before casually asking, "When did you buy the Abrus precatorius?"

"I think we bought it during the Graley Piano Competition," Vita quickly answered. "We thought it was

just regular red beans at first! Who knew it was poisonous?"

"She probably didn't know either," Sylvia sighed. "But did you know?"

Vita's face grew tense as she stared at her feet and replied hesitantly, "I... I couldn't have known. I don't

know much about flowers."

Just as she feared that Sylvia would catch on to something suspicious, she heard Sylvia's voice speak

up in a soft and alluring tone. "It seems like you really didn't know."

The hospital room fell silent until Cody checked his watch and smiled kindly at everyone present.

"It's almost midnight now; why don't both of you go home?" he suggested to Franklin and Sylvia. "What

are you doing sitting here in the hospital? Be good kids."

As soon as Cody finished speaking, Mrs. Wright's fingers twitched slightly while the instruments by her

bedside beeped softly.

Sylvia stood up abruptly to look at Mrs. Wright lying on the bed, while everyone else followed suit

quietly.

"Mrs. Wright is waking up?" Franklin whispered softly.

Sylvia held Mrs. Wright's cold hand tightly, while calling out gently twice. "Yasmin..."

Mrs. Wright's eyelashes trembled twice.

Brayden couldn't help but hold his breath while staring intently at his mother's haggard face. He called

out unconsciously, "Mom..."

As he spoke, Mrs. Wright seemed to struggle opening her eyes slowly without focus. After a brief

moment, she finally looked towards those gathered around her bed.

"Sylvia... Brayden..."

Her voice was weak and her face was waxen, as she murmured softly, "Water... I want water..."

"Auntie, drink some water quickly." Vita moved swiftly and poured a glass of water for Mrs. Wright.

However, because Mrs. Wright was lying down, drinking water wasn't very convenient.

Brayden helped her up and held her in his arms. He took the glass of water from Vita's hand and gently

brought it close to Mrs. Wright's dry lips. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Mrs. Wright drank several sips in a row before feeling some relief in her throat. She looked weakly at

Sylvia and asked, "Sylvia, aren't you abroad?"

"I just returned home this evening." Sylvia held onto her sister's thin pale hand tightly. "Don't worry, sis;

I'll take good care of you during your treatment for the Abrus precatorius poison that has accumulated

over time in your body."

"It may not seem like much," she continued reassuringly while looking at the medical records on hand,

"but this toxin has been slowly accumulating inside you over time until it finally erupted."
