Chapter 836
Chapter 836
At 7 o'clock in the evening, as the colorful lights illuminated the scene, the Moore Grand Hotel came to
life.
Inside the banquet hall on the second floor, a small stage was set up at the center, adorned with a large
LED screen displaying a few prominent words.
"Congratulations to 'The Beggarly Girl Is A Noble Lady' crew for successfully wrapping up the
production."
Not only were those words displayed on the LED screen, but a red banner was also hung, creating a
joyful atmosphere.
Flower baskets were placed on both sides of the banner, adding warmth and festivity to the ambiance.
The staff and the main cast of the production were all dressed elegantly.
The men wore tailored suits, while the women exuded grace and beauty. Glasses clinked, and the
atmosphere was harmonious.
Simeon approached Brock, holding a glass of champagne, and spoke, "Mr. Brock, being by your side
during this time has truly broadened my horizons. Thank you for your guidance."
He had been experiencing a creative block in his acting career and couldn't break through it.
Unexpectedly, a sudden inspiration struck him, and with Brock's guidance, he achieved a significant
breakthrough. It was an unexpected gain.
Simeon was handsome and had a tall, commanding figure. He looked particularly striking in his black
suit.
As soon as he appeared, he immediately caught the attention of many women.
Especially at tonight's wrap-up celebration, not only were the cast and crew present, but also some
investors and distributors, all hoping to catch a glimpse of Sylvia.
After all, Sylvia's status in the entertainment industry was extraordinary.
She not only possessed capital but was also associated with Wynter and Master Keturah-just these two
names alone held immense weight.
A golden screenwriter, a diamond composer.
Oh, and a pianist too. Just by stepping into the circle, she became an admired figure.
So, these investors and distributors wanted to establish connections. It was evident that "The Beggarly
Girl Is A Noble Lady" was bound to be a hit.
It was undoubtedly a blockbuster in the making, guaranteed to be the box office champion.
They had all read the script, and the character development, the cultivation of hatred, and the inclusion
of various social issues were all portrayed brilliantly.
Brock understood the intentions of these people, so he didn't expose them. Instead, he continued
chatting with Simeon.
"Compared to those famous directors, I'm still far behind. But, where is Miss Andrews?"
He raised his glass and clinked it with Simeon's, and then the two of them drank together.
Just then, the hotel's entrance suddenly swung open. From the railing on the second floor, one could
see everything happening downstairs.
Simeon and Brock happened to be standing at the railing, and upon hearing the commotion, they both
looked down and saw an attractive couple entering the hotel lobby.
The man wore a navy blue suit, while the woman donned a sky-blue dress. They complemented each
other perfectly, with looks that were exceptionally rare.
"Well, speak of the devil."
Brock chuckled and waved at Sylvia below. "Miss Andrews, over here!"
Sylvia looked up and spotted Simeon and Brock. She raised an eyebrow and, holding Franklin's arm,
took the elevator to the second floor.
Observing the joyous scene that adorned the second floor, Sylvia couldn't help but comment to
Franklin, "I feel like I'm attending a grand country show."
"Well, it's all for the sake of good luck," Franklin replied, smirking as he noticed the long red banner.

busy these past few days to contact her - what was going on?
Out of everyone present there that night, Poppy seemed happiest upon seeing Sylvia arrive with
Franklin by her side. She wore an adorable skirt that showed off her slender legs.
"Sylvia!" she exclaimed as she ran towards Sylvia only for Franklin to pull his wife away from Poppy
before she could reach them.
Poppy pouted at him while looking up at his coldly handsome face. "Hey bro! I'm your sister - do you
really have to be so guarded around me?"
"I don't want you crushing my wife under your weight," he said flatly while glancing over at Poppy's
figure.
Poppy froze momentarily before looking devastated. "What? I've lost three pounds recently!" She
almost screamed out loud about it.
Sylvia smiled sweetly while pulling Poppy closer. "Don't mind him; how have you been lately? How are
things going for you studying film?"
"It's great! Sylvia, let me introduce you," Poppy warmly pulled Sylvia towards a girl, saying, "This is my
classmate, Audrina Pierce. She plays the role of my good friend in the play."
"I assume you introduced her?" Sylvia guessed, seeing Poppy's enthusiasm.
"We are classmates and roommates. Several girls from our dormitory auditioned, and Mr. Brock chose
her," Poppy said with a beaming smile, addressing Audrina, "Audrina, this is my sister-in-law. Isn't she
even more beautiful than in the photos?"
Audrina was tall and beautiful, but there were plenty of attractive girls in the entertainment industry.
She was the kind of girl who looked good but didn't stand out among the sea of beauties in the
entertainment industry.
Her appearance was different from Poppy's. Poppy had a distinctive look, the kind that was
unforgettable, especially with her clear eyes that had no impurities.
However, Audrina's eyes contained too much desire.
Though she was young, her ambitious nature couldn't be hidden, no matter how hard she tried.
Even though Audrina seemed innocent, she couldn't escape Sylvia's discerning eyes.
Sylvia glanced at Audrina and nodded slightly, "Hello."
Audrina stared at Sylvia with wide eyes, filled with admiration. "Can I call you Sylvia too?"
"I'm sorry, but we're not very familiar," Sylvia responded calmly. She had no feelings about Audrina's
exaggerated enthusiasm; she had heard too much flattery.
Such deliberate enthusiasm only made Sylvia feel repulsed.
Audrina's face stiffened.
She didn't expect Sylvia to completely disregard her. Wasn't she nice to Poppy? Why wouldn't she
show a little respect to Poppy's good friend? After all, they were friends, right?
Poppy felt a bit embarrassed and tugged Audrina's arm. "My sister-in-law can be a bit cold, but you'll
get to know her. She means no harm."
"It's alright. We were complete strangers until now, after all," Audrina forced a smile, though it seemed
strained.
The two girls arrived at the beverage area. Poppy handed Audrina a glass of juice and said, "In the
future, my sister-in-law will surely like you just as much as she likes me."
Audrina lowered her head to drink, successfully concealing her jealousy and malice.
Both living in the same dormitory, why was Poppy the favored one? She had a good family
background, good opportunities, and even Sylvia treated her as a sister-in-law, providing her with so
many acting opportunities.
Before college started, Poppy already famous enough to play opposite top actors like Eden.
Audrina wanted a chance to shine, but she had to keep auditioning for different acting roles and
sometimes even used a casting couch with producers or assistant directors.
She was determined to be a star that everyone would admire. She wanted all the awards and
accolades, she wanted to be at the top of her game!
With her head held high, Audrina thought about how Poppy had given her this opportunity to act on set.
But when she realized that she was only playing a minor role while Poppy was one of the lead
actresses, Audrina became jealous and angry.
Honey gracefully walked over and clinked glasses with Poppy. "Poppy, where's your sister-in-law?"
"My sister-in-law and Mr. Brock were just there!" Poppy pointed behind herself not too far away. "Well,
where did they go?"
While they were talking, no one noticed Audrina take out her phone and switch to a Twitter account.
Then she started posting some gossip on her account before tagging several influential accounts.
After finishing everything up, Audrina put away her phone as if nothing happened while pretending to
listen in on Honey's conversation with Poppy.
"I'll go look over there." Honey said before leaving again.
Sylvia, Brock, and Simeon were discussing every detail of the movie with the investors and distributors.
They were seated at a table, engaged in lively discussions.
"Alright, Miss Andrews, that's settled."
"Your idea is excellent. Let's decide on the premiere date first."
"We should also organize some ticket giveaways."
"Yes, and we'll have midnight discount tickets. I'll handle the communication with the offline cinemas."
"After the theatrical run, we'll negotiate with the video streaming platforms regarding the rights and
revenue sharing."
"Wishing us a pleasant collaboration," Sylvia smirked, raising her glass.
Franklin was by her side, accompanying her throughout.
As Sylvia focused on her work, fragments of light sparkled in the man's eyes, exuding a captivating
charm.
Honey had been sitting quietly on the side, not daring to interrupt while Sylvia discussed the film with
these big shots.
Now that she saw Sylvia finally done with her busy conversation, she dared to speak up.
"Miss Andrews, it's been a long time."
Sylvia looked up and saw her. "Oh, you've changed a lot in appearance!"
Honey blushed and awkwardly tugged at her clothes. "I've changed my mindset now. I don't want to
deal with all those gimmicks anymore. It's not interesting."
Her voice became smaller. "Besides, those things aren't good for my health." She was referring to
silicone.
Sylvia couldn't help but laugh. Honey used to have a chest as big as a basketball, but now it had
shrunk.
"What happened?"
Suddenly, Brock's voice came. "How did such a thing leak out?"
