After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities

Chapter 803

Chapter 803

Vita looked at the tub of Abrus precatorius that Mrs. Wright had bought a few days ago. She was

getting annoyed by the couple's voices, so she stood up and grabbed a watering can to water the

plants.

Mrs. Wright had a smile on her face as she glanced at Vita and then gave Cody a meaningful look.

Cody saw it too, and he couldn't help but feel like this girl had ulterior motives.

As Vita watered the plants, she thought about something in her mind. Since the Wright family didn't

know that Abrus precatorius was poisonous, why not...

If this plan succeeded, she wouldn't just be a sponsored student anymore.

Meanwhile, at Vienna Hotel...

Franklin was looking down at his phone while Jasper was reporting something to him.

When Sylvia came back and opened the door, she saw Franklin's handsome profile in the light and

couldn't help but be captivated by it. She put down her bag before sitting next to him on the couch.

"Back already?" Franklin smiled when he saw her.

She nodded before telling him how she went shopping with Jenna nearby today and bought some gifts

to bring back home when they returned from their trip later on.

"I have news about those mercenary backers," Franklin signaled for her to sit down.

Sylvia raised an eyebrow, "Who are they?"

"There are too many people who want to kill me," Franklin smirked. He held the latest technology for

new energy cars, and many people wanted to steal that piece of meat.

The Ritter family was one of them.

"Is this the work of the Ritter family?" Sylvia frowned at the evidence Jasper had found. She felt it

wouldn't be that simple.

"How can the Ritter family contact mercenaries?"

Unless there is a complex relationship involved, or someone must be pulling the strings.

Mercenaries aren't easy to hire.

She looked down at her phone, her long thick lashes casting a light shadow.

Franklin gently caressed Sylvia's cheek and held her tightly.

Sylvia snapped out of her thoughts and saw the man's sturdy chest. She pushed him away abruptly,

"What are you doing?"

Franklin chuckled, "I hugged you because you were lost in thought."

Sylvia glanced at him, "I don't think things are as simple as they seem on the surface."

She looked at Jasper again, "Jasper, could you please investigate further?"

She was not one to be trifled with; she knew how to get what she wanted.

Franklin couldn't help but laugh and pinched her cheek. "Investigate away," he said.

He felt that this matter had gone too smoothly.

The Ritter Group did indeed have their eyes on the Wright family and wanted to snatch up a piece of

the new energy car market from them.

But... the Ritter Group probably didn't have that kind of power yet.

However, it never hurts to be cautious.

Just then there was a knock on the door.

Another one of Franklin's men had brought many dresses for Sylvia - ten in total - all custom-made

according to her size.

Franklin took them and hung them up in the closet.

The once-empty closet was now filled with Sylvia's dresses - each one unique with different materials

and designs like little fairies with souls of their own.

Sylvia walked over and looked at all these dresses hanging there before pursing her lips slightly. "I

brought some already; why did you prepare so many?"

Franklin wrapped his arms around her waist while looking at all these clothes he had prepared for her –

feeling warm inside – especially soft-hearted right now. "There's going to be a closing ceremony soon

where you'll need a dress for walking down the red carpet; during performances or other events later

on we'll need more than just two dresses won't we? At least three sets are necessary."

During those times it would inevitably become another round of female celebrities competing against

each other or comparing themselves against others who walked down that red carpet – press releases

would fly everywhere about who wore what best etcetera etcetera...

At closing ceremonies, there will also be performers invited along with award presenters who were wall

A-listers!

He didn't want his woman being compared unfavorably by anyone else!

Sylvia raised an eyebrow, "Who says I only brought two sets? I brought three!"

"Three sets or two doesn't matter," Franklin said while letting Sylvia pick out which ones she liked best

from among them all since he ordered only high-end designer clothes from this season's latest

collection anyway...

Her long eyelashes made her look even more beautiful than usual...

"Why don't we try every single outfit?" Franklin smirked; he enjoyed these moments between himself

and Sylvia where they helped each other choose outfits like this...

As he spoke, he led Jasper out. "Call me when you're dressed," he said.

They were staying in a suite, and the bedroom opened up into the living room. Inside hung two

paintings that imitated works by world-renowned artists.

The sunlight outside was particularly bright, and Franklin stood at the window looking out at the

scenery, silently waiting.

When Sylvia emerged in her dress, she saw his tall figure with his back to her.

Franklin had been blessed with good looks from birth: broad shoulders and narrow waist, noble

bearing, delicate features like those of a sculpture. He was handsome to just the right degree - as if

born to be king.

Hearing the door open behind him, Franklin turned around only to see Sylvia change out of her formal

wear into something more casual.

He frowned. "Why didn't you try on your dress?"

"It's too much trouble," Sylvia replied nonchalantly.

What was the point of trying it on when they weren't walking down any red carpets?

"In that case I'll call room service." Franklin sighed before giving Jasper a meaningful look; Jasper

immediately understood and left them alone.

Sylvia had been shopping for quite some time now and was feeling tired; she didn't feel like going out

for dinner anymore.

Franklin's suggestion suited her perfectly. "After dinner I can take you for a drive?"

"No thanks," Sylvia shook her head. "They're watching us from behind closed doors; who knows if

there will be another assassination attempt? I'm tired from shopping today."

She didn't want to face another crazy assassination attempt like two days ago - they would definitely

come back again if their first attempt failed!

It would be safer staying inside their seven-star hotel where security measures were strict - especially

since many celebrities stayed here too!

"Okay then." Franklin wasn't going to force her either way.

Soon enough Jasper brought their food over: simple yet delicious steak along with local specialties

such as red wine and several exquisite dishes.

By now sunset had arrived outside; what once was brilliant sunlight transformed into an orange-red

glow that spread across everything beneath it.

Sylvia savored every bite while admiring this beautiful atmosphere around them.

After finishing dinner, Franklin wrapped his arms around Sylvia from behind while resting his head on

her shoulder. "I have some work documents I need to go over tonight... do you want-"

"I'm busy too," Sylvia interrupted honestly - she still needed to finish X's design draft which included

new jewelry designs for next season along with new clothing sketches which also needed completion

soon or else she'd fall even further behind schedule!

Franklin smiled and kissed her earlobe. Sylvia was busy until late at night, and she stretched lazily

before getting up to wash up.

"Have a glass of milk," Franklin handed her a cup of hot milk, "sleep well."

He felt warm inside when he saw Sylvia obediently drink the milk. He never found it troublesome or

tiring to take care of her.

"Go take a shower, the hot water is ready," Franklin spoke softly with his deep black eyes shining

brightly.

Sylvia's shoulders were a bit sore, "Okay."

Soaking in hot water would help relieve some pain.

The next morning, as soon as Sylvia opened the window, fresh air rushed in along with golden sunlight

from the east. In the hotel garden, rosebuds were sparkling with dewdrops and full of vitality under

Vienna's unique scenery. Everything was pure and refreshing like an ink painting filled with fragrant

grass scent.

Today was the day for the finals; all major competitions were coming to an end. Not only did they have

composition finals but also violin cello competitions and other singing contests that would determine Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

champions within these two days.

After breakfast together, they arrived at the competition venue. Jenna wore a red dress paired with

white high heels perhaps hoping for good luck on this special day. The silk dress wrapped around her

slender figure like flowing waves while small pearl flowers scattered on its hemline creating an elegant

yet noble look.

Ashlyn knew she shouldn't come watch Jenna's composition final but she really wanted to know if this

little bitch could win or not - what she most wanted was seeing Jenna fail miserably, so she came along

with Evelyn again today.

Mrs. Ritter didn't show up; maybe Jenna advancing into finals made her angry.

Allie came over though, wearing an emerald green dress that outlined perfect curves. Even though

already past forty years old, she was still charmingly elegant. Sitting beside Ashlyn, she curled her lips

slightly in mockery: "Didn't expect her luck is pretty good."

Although Allie didn't mention anyone by name, Ashlyn knew who she referred to. "That's because she's

promiscuous, right?"

She attributed Jenna's promotion to finals to being able to flirt with the judges.
