Chapter 412 The Lady Of the Xia Clan

May had been arranged to live in solitary after Johnson's visit. May believed it was because of

Johnson. She was a little touched for his kindness given what she had done to him. Living in a single

room by herself was more comfortable than in a group room. She had some privacy now.

She had lost her freedom after she was put in prison.

Now, she was trapped in a cage like a bird, and she didn't know when she could get out. Everyday, she

was forced to work. She had never done any manual labor before. Life in prison was, for her, a living

death. She once was wife to Johnson, the lord of the Xia clan, but here, she was a prisoner who had to

work hard. It was hard for her to put up with such kind of life.

May wondered who would visit her in prison. She hastily cleared the worktable and rushed to her cell to

find out.

Before she walked into her cell, she saw a woman sitting on her bed from a distance. It wasn't a man,

so it could not be Johnson. Who was the woman?

After she walked into her cell, she was able to take a close look at the woman waiting for her. She

recognized Linda's face at once. May had been put in the prison for over half a year, but Linda had

never visited her. May was surprised to see her here. She could not help but wonder what Linda

"Why are you here? Are you here to see if I am dead?" said May.

Lisa turned around when she heard May's voice. Lisa's eyes moistened, and her tears were on the

brink of falling. She said in a trembling voice, "Mother, I'm your daughter!"

"Who are you kidding? You are my daughter? Linda, do you think that I see you as my daughter? I only

have one daughter!"

May sneered. She didn't understand why Linda would say that she was her daughter. What was her

purpose?

"No, mother. I'm Lisa. I'm your own daughter."

"You... You are Lisa? How could it be possible?" May narrowed her brows deeply. "Yes, mother. I'm

really Lisa. Adam took me to get cosmetic surgery and vocal cord surgery. Now, my face looks like

Linda's, and my voice sounds like hers."

"Master Adam? I've asked Master Adam to take good care of you. What have you done to yourself?

Why did you get the surgeries?"

May said, frowning. She hated Linda very much, and now, her daughter's face looked exactly like

Linda's. She felt disgusted looking at Lisa now.

Lisa didn't answer May's questions. She asked in response, "Mother, why did you want me to turn to

Adam? If I hadn't asked for his help, I wouldn't have been forced to have the surgeries. He wanted me

"I was driven into a corner, so I had no choice but to let you ask for his help. I'm sorry, Lisa. I truly am. I

May felt distressed when she heard Lisa's complaint.

Lisa was her only daughter. She was her princess. May never thought her precious daughter would

suffer because of her one bad decision. She always believed in Adam, so she thought that he would

take good care of her daughter.

May's face turned a little red as she recalled what she had been doing with Adam. They were more

than just friends. May wondered if Lisa knew anything about her abnormal relationship with Adam. If

Lisa had found out about them, what would she think of her? Would Lisa be upset?

Back then, May didn't have time to think it through.

Her scheme had been exposed. Johnson had known that Lisa wasn't his own daughter. At that time,

May didn't have any other choice. Lisa's biological father died many years ago, and May didn't have

any friends whom they could count on. Worse came to worst, so May had no other option but to ask

Lisa to turn to Adam for help.

May didn't want to look at Lisa's face because Lisa looked exactly like Linda. But she knew for sure that

the woman sitting in front of her was her own daughter. She could tell that this woman was actually

Lisa, her own daughter, rather than Linda. She could feel it.

Lisa could not hold back her tears any longer. She told her mother what Adam had done to her all this

time. The more May knew, the grimmer her face grew.

At last, May's face darkened as black as coal. She had never thought that Adam was such kind of a

If it were not for Linda, Lisa would have still been the Lady of the Xia clan, the one Johnson was fond of

the most.

Why did Linda walk into their lives? May had always thought that it was Linda's fault. She was the one

who had made their lives miserable. Their lives had changed because of her. May thought that Linda

was the devil who had ruined their lives, taking away all the things which could have belonged to them.

Before May talked to Lisa today, she had been at peace with what had happened. But now that she

knew what her precious daughter had been through in the past few months, she became very

distressed. She nearly broke down when she had heard all the things Adam had forced Lisa to do and

the things he had done to her... That included calling him "Master" and being a sex slave for him to

play... May felt terrible when she heard what Lisa had said. What her daughter had suffered was much

worse than hers.

Before Lisa could finish speaking, they started holding each other tightly with tears streaming down
