A Vengeful Girl

Chapter 311 Take Advantage of Robert's feelings

Chapter 311 Take Advantage of Robert's feelings

Charles obviously had doubts about her. She only escaped death because of her face. Charles couldn't

kill her since she looked like the love of his life.

But she was afraid that she might not be lucky the next time around because she really was not Linda.

Sitting on the floor, Lisa planned for her future.

She had learned a lot during these past few days. The Lady of the Xia clan, Lisa Xia, was no longer

proud and arrogant.

She came to understand that sometimes she needed to bite the bullet when necessary. Her feelings for

Charles were useless, especially now that he knew that something was wrong. So her love to him was

meaningless.

She realized it the hard way... that Charles didn't love her at all. He only loved Linda.

Lisa sat on the floor for a while until she finally decided to get up and have some water. However, she

was stopped at the door.

"My Lady, as per the orders of Young Master, you are not allowed to leave the room."

"Can't I go and get myself a glass of water?" Lisa's eyebrows furrowed as she glared at the servant in

disbelief.

"Get out of my way, " Lisa snapped. Since Charles was not there, she had no reason to obey the

servants.

She was still the Lady of the Mu clan. Charles valued his reputation too much, so there was no way he

would reveal her real identity to the servants.

"My Lady, please don't put us in a tight spot. If you need anything, kindly tell us. We are more than

willing to do it for you." Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Charles had made it clear that 'Lady Linda' was grounded. The servants were loyal to him. They did not

dare defy him. Even if Lisa threw a tantrum right now, they still wouldn't let her out.

Lisa thought for a second and gave in. She knew these servants were awfully loyal to Charles. It would

be pointless for her to argue with them. Anyway, she needed to be friendly when dealing with them.

It just occurred to her that they might even help her once she was on good terms with them!

Charles had imprisoned her here in the house. She definitely couldn't get out without others' help. If

she wanted to send messages or run away, she needed help from these servants.

"I'm sorry for snapping at you. I just had an argument with Young Master Mu, so I'm not in a good

mood. I hope you understand."

Lisa touched her silky hair, rubbed her wet eyes, and apologised to the servant.

"My Lady, there is no need to say sorry. I understand. I will be on my way to get you some water." The

servant quickly ran to the kitchen to get her some water. Lisa's words warmed his heart. Even though

she was rude at first, she bothered to apologise to him!

Watching his back from a distance, Lisa smirked. These servants were too easy to be manipulated.

She could lure them with some good words one by one in no time.

The servant quickly brought her some water. Lisa accepted it with gratitude. Then, she retreated into

her room and pulled the curtains down.

Charles left in a hurry and forgot to confiscate her phone. Right now, her phone was silently lying inside

her pocket.

Even though Charles had grounded her in the house, she could still find a way out with her phone.

The first thing that came to her mind was Robert.

She had learned a lot about Robert from Adam. Robert was crazily in love with Linda.

Adam was evil and hard to deal with, but right now it was necessary for her to contact his brother.

She needed to take advantage of Robert's feelings toward Linda!

Lisa's face darkened as she thought about Linda. Hatred boiled inside of her as she realized how many

men fell for Linda, instead of her. She was just as good looking as Linda!

Why did they all fall for Linda instead? Lisa found it hard to accept that numerous men wanted to win

Linda's heart. Charles Mu... Robert Huo... The list went on and on.

She took out the phone and went through her contacts. Luckily, she had saved Robert's number.

Lisa took a deep breath and dialed the number.

Inside the Huo clan's villa

Robert was exhausted after a long day of classes. Despite the fact that Linda never showed up at the

school, Robert still went there everyday because of his obligation to the school. He committed to a

year-long contract to teach Chemistry.

In order to get over Linda and keep himself busy, Robert had volunteered to be the class teacher of the

senior students.

His work was indeed tiring yet fulfilling. Robert fell asleep every night as soon as he went to bed. He

had no time nor energy to mourn over his unrequited love. The night seemed less cold and less lonely

when he started to let go of the past.

Upon entering the villa, Robert heard Alice, a servant, calling, "Master Robert, you are back. I have just

served dinner. It's still piping hot. Come and have it with Master Adam!"

Adam was enjoying his meal. He heard his brother enter and looked up. He gave his brother a big

smile and said, "Hey, bro, you're home. Come and sit with me."

The light in the villa was cozy. Robert's heart was full of joy as he saw his brother sitting there, smiling

at him while the table was full of warm, home-cooked dishes.

He nodded with a smile and said, "I will go wash my hands first."

As soon as he sat down by the table, Adam opened his mouth and said, "Brother, how come you get

home so late these days? Are teachers really that busy?"

Robert laughed. He stood up and stroked his brother's head lovingly. With a big grin on his face, he

explained to him, "It is hard. I teach senior students, and their schedule is usually packed from morning

until evening since they need to prepare themselves well for the university exams."

"Really? How does it feel to be busy? I didn't go through the last year of high school... It would be nice

to experience the busy lifestyle."

Adam's lips slightly curled up. For a moment, Robert felt sorry for his younger brother. The plain and

innocent smile on his face brought pain to his heart.

Adam didn't finish high school. He dropped out in the last year when the horrible incident happened. He

simply couldn't live with it at the time.

Their parents didn't force him to finish his studies. They were quite open-minded, so they allowed him

to stay home and recover from the trauma. Fortunately, Adam recuperated fast, making Robert feel

relieved.

"Adam, I..."

Robert was about to say something to ease the tension, but Adam shook his head and stopped him.

He picked up a piece of meat, put it on his brother's plate, and said, "Don't worry about me. I am doing

great now!"

"That's nice to hear. Rest assured that, as your elder brother, I will always stay by your side and keep

you company. Don't bother yourself with the past anymore."

Adam nodded. Then, he changed the subject and asked, "Oh yeah, how come you don't bring up Linda

anymore?"

Robert's face froze as he heard Linda's name. He lowered his head and said nothing. Linda was like a

wound in his heart. Whenever her name was mentioned, the wound would reopen and hurt like hell.

Now that she was with Charles, he had no one else to blame but himself for letting her go. He regretted

his decision back then. He should have stayed and seized the opportunity, instead of walking away.
