A Vengeful Girl

Chapter 278 Almost Dead

Chapter 278 Almost Dead

Every night, roving guards were placed around the Nalan mansion to ensure the safety of the Nalan

members.

When Nelson walked downstairs, he saw some guards and told them, "Go and check the grass over

there. I heard a loud noise."

"Yes, Sir."

When the guards arrived at the scene, they found Amy Qi quivering.

"Mr. Li, there is a person over there. She seemed to have fallen from somewhere." A guard reported to

Nelson.

"Let's go check it out."

Nelson followed the patrol and saw Amy's embarrassed look and painful expression. He squatted down

and asked, "Who are you? Why are you here?"

She was in pain.

Amy was losing consciousness. She felt pain all over her body.

At that moment, Amy wanted to faint because she was in too much agony.

"Help me...I am..."

Amy fainted before she finished her words.

Nelson looked at Amy and stood up. He ordered a guard behind him, "Send her to the hospital! She

must be one of the guests who attended the banquet tonight. We don't know what happened to her."

"Yes, Sir."

Then two patrolmen took Amy to a hospital.

Since Amy was not a Nalan clan member, they took her to a nearby public hospital instead of a private

hospital.

Although Nelson knew that the person was Amy Qi, he pretended not to know her.

He wanted to take revenge on Amy for Lady Linda.

On the next day, Nelson reported the situation to Richard Nalan.

"My Lord, yesterday, the guards found someone who had fallen off our building."

"Really? How was he? Did you send him to the hospital? Who was it?" Lord Nalan asked.

After all, a party was held in the Nalan mansion last night. Lord Nalan couldn't guess who it was among

all the people who attended the party.

"It was Miss Amy Qi, but we pretended that we didn't know that it was her." Nelson answered.

Lord Nalan immediately understood what Nelson meant and nodded, "Okay, I see. Let's act clueless

until the end. How is she? Did she die?"

"No, she didn't. We sent her to the hospital, but she might have to stay there for a month or two, "

Nelson replied.

"Okay, it's a good thing she didn't die, " Lord Nalan said calmly.

If Amy died like this, it would have been too easy for her.

Amanda Zhang waited for her daughter Amy until night. She was furious at the fact that she couldn't

contact Amy because her phone was turned off.

Amy's behaviour was getting worse these days. Was she doing it on purpose? Amy dared to stay out

the whole night, and she was not back yet.

Bob Qi looked at Amanda and shook his head. He was getting dizzy looking at Amanda pace around

the room back and forth.

"She sent a message saying that she was hanging out with Sarah Shen. If you worry about her, then

call Sarah!"

After listening to her husband, Bob, Amanda remembered that her daughter Amy sent a message

saying that she was going to be at the Shen clan's house.

Amanda got so worried that she forgot to check with Sarah.

Amanda had Sarah's phone number and called her directly. After all, Sarah was one of her daughter's

best friends.

Sarah received a call from an unknown number. Since it was a local number of SH City, she answered.

"Hello, who is speaking?"

"Is this Sarah?"

The voice through the phone was familiar, so Sarah responded, "Yes, speaking. Who's this?"

"I am the mother of Amy Qi, Amanda Zhang. Is Amy with you?"

Confused, Sarah immediately said, "No, she isn't!"

Amanda panicked and asked, "What? Amy isn't with you? But she texted me last night saying that she

went to your place. Why isn't she with you?"

Sarah realized that she made a mistake and figured that Amy must have went out for fun or had a date

but used Sarah to lie to her parents.

Sarah didn't know what happened but decided to cover for her best friend.

"Mrs. Amanda Zhang, you must have misunderstood. Amy is not with me now but she was with me last

night. Don't worry. She just left and will be back home soon."

Amanda relaxed after hearing this.

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Bob Qi laughed at his wife, "Look at you, you worry too much. Amy sent

you a message last night, but you still called her friend to confirm. You're embarrassing our daughter in Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

front of her friends!"

"I am worried about her! She is a girl. How can she stay out alone the whole night?" Amanda retorted.

"Why not? She is all grown up. She studied in England alone. Why not now?" Bob said.

"Do you want to continue fighting about this?" Amanda was getting heated.

Sarah called Amy right after her conversation with Amanda. She wanted to inform Amy that her mother

was looking for her.

She tried to reach Amy again and again, but Amy wasn't answering her phone.

Sarah started to panic.

She had lied. Amy did not stay with her last night.

At that moment, Sarah felt anxious.

One day later, Sarah still had no clue where Amy was. She tried to reach Amy's phone again, but she

still couldn't reach her.

So she decided to call Amy's mother.

"Amanda, is Amy back home?"

Amanda became very worried. When she called Sarah yesterday, she knew that Amy was already on

the way back. She waited the whole day but Amy still didn't come back. When she planned to call

Sarah again, Sarah's call came over.

"No, she isn't. Sarah, when I called you yesterday, didn't you say that Amy was on the way back home?

Where is she? I am so worried!" Amanda asked Sarah impatiently.

"I don't know, Amanda. I have called Amy many times but she is not answering her phone, " Sarah

responded.

Was Amy missing? Amanda was so worried that she had to call the police.

After getting the report, the police investigated Amy's disappearance. They even went to the Nalan

mansion to retrace Amy's steps.

Fortunately, the policemen received useful news from the Nalan clan. They said that there was a

woman who fell down from the building and had to be sent to the hospital.

After asking about the woman's profile and clothing, Amanda and Bob were sure that the woman was

indeed Amy.

They were in shock.

Amy had been in the hospital for a few days. She was seriously injured. She was in coma for two days,

but she slowly woke up after recovering a little.

There were bruises on her body, and both her legs and a rib were broken.

Fortunately, on that day, when she fell down from the fifth floor, the trees and grass eased the impact.

Otherwise, she might have died.
