A Vengeful Girl

Chapter 257 Swift To Act

Chapter 257 Swift To Act

"Okay, you win. Anyway, it's time for you to go bed. Don't forget you are pregnant. Your baby needs the

rest as well." Lily said, remnants of laughter still escaping in between her words.

"Fine. Would you update Nelson when he comes back? Because this pregnant woman is going to get

some sleep now." Linda shook her head, smiling.

It didn't take long for Linda to fall asleep.

For Linda, Anna and Lily were both her friends whom she completely trusted, so she slept peacefully.

Nelson and his men were swift to act, arriving at the railway station, soon after they left the Nalan

compound.

Nelson went directly to the top manager of the crowded station.

After looking into the database of the railway system briefly, they found the information they needed.

Stacy Kang was to board through Gate 14.

The train was due to board in five minutes and leave soon after, so Nelson and his men rushed to Gate

14.

Actually, Nelson had never seen Stacy before because she was too ordinary to be noticed among the

group of servants at the Nalan clan.

Wearing a hat, Stacy was sitting at the waiting area for gate 14.

Stacy was tingly with excitement when she thought of going back home. She began to hum a merry

little tune.

"Almost heaven. West Virginia. Blue Ridge Mountains. Shenandoah River... Stranger to blue water.

Dark and dusty. Painted on the sky. Misty taste of moon shine. Tear drops in my eyes..."

As she sang, she began to reflect on her future. The reality was she was in her early 30s with no

husband and no child.

Many years had went by since she became a servant for the Nalan clan.

She was employed by them in her early 20s. Now Stacy realized it was time to focus on her own life, so

she resigned and decided to come back to her hometown, buying a house there, getting married and

enjoying an idyllic life with her family.

The SH city was a big international city, so the lifestyle there was too busy for Stacy. Even though she

had spent so many years in SH city, she found she couldn't fit in.

Stacy Kang failed to go to high school, because her parents were too poor to support her.

So she came to SH city to find a job. Stacy changed many jobs and all of them required her to work

long hours for poor pay. Since she was ill-educated and had no skills, every job she could get was

menial.

The turning point of her life came when she came upon the advertisement of vacancies for servants for

the Nalan clan.

Then Stacy went to the interview and became one of the servants of the Nalan clan.

It turned out to be a well-paying job that included a room and meals.

However, she couldn't spend her whole life working for the Nalan clan. She wanted to get married and

have her own family. All the men available to her in the Nalan clan were servants the same as her. She

couldn't reconcile herself to marrying a servant.

Meanwhile, everyone from the Nalan family was apparently beyond her reach.

There's no way the Nalan clan could let any of their children marry a servant.

So two weeks ago, Stacy made up her mind to resign. The Nalan clan was pretty generous, offering

her extra 100, 000 since she had worked so many years for them.

Stacy could rest for a very long time if she used her fortune wisely.

She felt pleased every-time she thought of the money.

The town Stacy came from was poor and small where anyone with 100, 000 deserved to be called rich.

Stacy's parents will be pleased to know their daughter came back from a large city with so many

money which could buy them a beautiful house and

Support their son to go to college.

"Excuse me, are you Stacy Kang?"

She was interrupted from her thoughts by a voice.

Stacy looked up to see who was speaking to her, Recognizing the man in front of her immediately. It

was Nelson Li, the well-known butler of the Nalan clan, who was in charge of all the servants. Stacy

thought that she might be a total stranger to Nelson, because she never spoke to him.

Upon seeing him, Stacy had a bad feeling.

She lowered her head and answered, "No, I'm not."

Nelson chuckled and grabbed the ticket from Stacy's hands.

The words on it showed that the ticket belonged to Stacy Kang.

Nelson showed her the ticket. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

"I ask you one more time. Are you Stacy Kang or not?"

Stacy was at a loss for words, and didn't know how to respond.

"Come with me." Nelson ordered her.

"Why? I've resigned. I don't work for the Nalan clan anymore." She was pretty nervous, as she

clenched her suitcase, a sign that she wasn't willing to voluntarily accompany Nelson.

"I know you have resigned. But I guess you know why I am here. Since you had the nerve to do it, now

you will suffer the consequences."

Nelson said gravely.

Stacy's expression dripped with guilt, giving her away. Nelson was sure that Stacy was the one who

pushed Linda into the water.

Suddenly, the pre-boarding announcement began, "Dear passengers, may I have your attention

please. The train to Deyang, Sichuan province is ready to board. Please proceed to gate 14 to have

your tickets checked. Please make sure that you have all your luggage with you. Have a nice trip."

"I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't push anyone into the water. Please step aside, Mr. Li. I

have to board the train now."

Stacy stood up and walked towards the gate with her suitcase.

Suddenly, Nelson raised his right hand and a group of men rushed to stop her.

"Stacy, you have two choices. Follow me or I'll tie you up and carry you back." Nelson said, displaying a

stolid expression.

Stacy yelped in pain when one of Nelson's men grabbed one of her arms.

"Let go of me. Okay! I will come with you!"

Nelson nodded and the man loosened his grip. Since Stacy was surrounded by all of his men, there

was no way she could escape.

She was too weak to take them on.

"Okay, let's go."

All of them got into the car and then drove away.

Stacy realized that she was caught. She regretted not thinking twice before accepting 50, 000 offer and

doing whatever she was asked to do.

She should have not let the money get to her head.

But what was done was done. The only way forward was to keep denying it no matter what.

Because deep down, she knew if she admitted it they would send her to jail.

"Now tell me. Who ordered you to push Lady Linda into the water?" Nelson broke the silence as they

were about to reach the mansion of the Nalan clan.
