Chapter 213 Linda's Idea
Chapter 213 Linda's Idea
When Richard Nalan arrived with his walking stick, Linda was eating the medicinal porridge and talking
to Anna. "Linda, is it true? The nurse told me that you asked her to help you order takeout."
Lord Nalan asked Linda as he entered the room.
Though he was actually relieved about it. He was worried that Linda wouldn't get over what happened
and do something rash like commit suicide. He had no idea how to stop Linda from ending her life once
she had lost her will to live.
"Just be patient. You can't take your revenge if you can't get better." Richard comforted Linda with an
affectionate smile.
"My Lord, let me find you a chair, so you can rest your legs." One of Richard's men moved a nearby
chair beside Linda's bed.
He was a man in his 30's named Nelson Li. Nelson was one of the orphans adopted by Richard Nalan.
He graduated from a business school in the United States. Since he returned to China at the age of 27,
he had been assisting Richard as his attendant. As a steward of the Nalan Clan, he was an organized
and decisive man who always planned ahead.
Though he wasn't as handsome as Brian Ho or Charles Mu, he was good-looking enough to attract
people's attention when he walked by.
"Fine." Richard answered him with a slight nod.
Nelson helped Richard sit down before standing behind him without another word.
"What has Amy Qi been doing lately?" Linda asked as she took small sips of her porridge.
"My Lady, she is under our surveillance. Apparently, she is coming back home ahead of schedule."
Nelson replied honestly.
"Coming back so soon? I thought she still had two years left before she could get her diploma.
Nelson's lips curled into a small smile as he answered, "She was expelled because she failed seven
out of her ten major courses." Linda couldn't help bursting into laughter.
This Amy was really quite interesting.
Linda had been recuperating in the Nalan Clan's private hospital. She had nothing to complain about
besides the sleepless nights she had from missing Charles. She had grown used to falling asleep with
Charles's arms wrapped around her, but he wasn't with her anymore. Every night when she was lying
in bed, Linda would reach out and find nothing but an empty space beside her. And there were no
words to describe how lonely Linda felt at the moment.
But Linda knew she needed to be strong. She had to endure Charles's absence for the time being.
She had to take her revenge on Amy first, it was the top priority on her list.
Meanwhile, Linda also felt sorry for her baby, who had to suffer everything with her. Fortunately, her
grandfather showed up just in time to save the both of them.
Linda was deeply grateful to her grandfather.
"Anna, how's my mother lately? And my father?"
Besides all her troubles, the safety of her father and foster mother's was her biggest concern.
"They are both fine. Mrs. Xie is now with the Xia Clan. Lord Xia has been taking very good care of her."
"That's good!" Linda nodded in relief. She hadn't seen them for quite a while, and she was sure that
they missed her just as much as she missed them. But she had to stay away until she had dealt with
whoever the fake Linda Xia was.
Linda thought the whole thing through again, and it suddenly hit her that Lisa had been missing for a
long time. No one had seen her since she disappeared. Where on earth did she vanish to?
After calculating the dates, Linda realized that Lisa had been pregnant for four months now!
Thrilled by the idea, Linda grabbed Anna's hands in excitement and said, "Anna, do you think the
woman who looks exactly like me could be Lisa Xia?"
"My Lady, are you serious? I've met your sister before. She looks nothing like you..."
Anna paused as her voice trailed off. She began to consider the possibility of Linda's implication. "My
Lady, it does make sense if you put it that way. I do remember that Young Master Mu has been looking
for Lisa, but she never turned up. It was as if she vanished into thin air."
"My Lady, there's a very simple way to confirm this. I can get access to Lisa's DNA information through
her medical records, as long as she went to the hospital for an examination. Didn't Dr. Xu do a prenatal
examination for a woman who looked just like you? There must be a blood sample of hers somewhere.
All we have to do is to test whether it matches with Lisa's blood or not. I wonder if Dr. Xu kept the
record."
Nelson interjected into their conversation.
Anna replied affirmatively, "All the records are kept in our hospital's server. I had a weird feeling about
that woman, so I secretly kept another copy of her medical record in my personal computer. I also
uploaded it online for good measure. They had most likely hacked into my computer and tampered with
the information by now."
"That won't be a problem. Just tell us which NSD server you uploaded it to. We can also send someone
to sneak back to the Mu Clan's private hospital to retrieve the original copy from your personal
computer." Nelson added with a comforting smile.
Richard touched his beard as he turned to his granddaughter, "Linda, leave this to Nelson. Since you
want to settle this on your own, I will do whatever I can to help you. Don't hesitate to let me know if you
need anything." Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"I will."
Linda simply nodded in response. She didn't say much more in terms of gratitude, as there was no
need when it came to family. She knew her grandfather was doing her a great favor, and she would find
a way to thank him someday.
"My Lady, there's one more thing. Please don't eat anything with soy sauce again. Or the medicinal
porridge won't be able to heal you as it's supposed to. You don't want to ruin you face, do you?"
