Chapter 14 Great Agony
Chapter 14 Great Agony
Lucrezia sighed, “Well, is it, is it possible that they two get back together?”
“Getting back together? You’re dreaming. We all know exactly how Sally insulted Judson. How could he
come back for Diana again?” Rosy sneered.
Lucrezia bit her lips and said, “Why don’t we go to apologize? Judson will forgive us, for Judson is so
kind and generous.”
Rosy shook her head. “What makes you think he’d meet us? We’re nobody, okay? Plus, it’s Sally who
has tortured him for a year and ruined everything we built up with Diana…”
“The key is Judson rather than Diana’s mother. We can see Judson loves Diana so much that he can
degrade himself as a loser to marry Diana by her family name. If Diana still has affection with him, the
problem will be solved. Lucrezia, talk to Diana…find out if she loves Judson. Only a dash of attachment
can save everything.”
“So it is…” Lucrezia sighed deeply.

Sally locked herself up in her own room after getting home as she was too embarrassed to see anyone.
She didn’t dare to talk to her daughter as she made troubles for Diana.
Diana got back to her room and lied in her bed in frustration. She was so weak and sick, yet nobody
took care of her by her side. She couldn’t help but to recall that Judson used to carefully look after her
when was sick. He could feed her medicine, pour water for her, massage and so on…
However, she was all alone by herself now, sick and sad.
Lucrezia knocked on the door before walking in.
“Hi, Lucrezia,” Diana said to Lucrezia, her eyes red and tearful.
Lucrezia placed her hand on Diana’s forehead and frowned, then she went to the living room to get
Diana the medicine kit. She found a thermometer to take Diana’s temperature and said, “You’ve got a
fever. Have you taken any medicine? I cared for your health, since there’s nobody taking care of you…”
Diana nodded as a fleeting of unassuming emotion flashed in her eyes.
Lucrezia leveled her with a hard look and said slowly, “Diana, don’t hold back, and tell me the truth. I
don’t think you have no feelings for Judson who has carefully taken care of you for a year.”
Diana looked at the ceiling and sighed, “I really don’t know. I have divorced with him for three days, and
I’ve felt empty in my heart for three days without him by my side. I really have no idea if this is love or
attachment. Do you know how it feels like this?”
Lucrezia gave her an unassuming smile and sighed, “Diana, did your mom tell you what Judson did?”
Diana paused confusedly. “What? What did he do?”
Lucrezia said, “Judson spent millions of dollars on the clothes for her girlfriend.”
“Yep, I knew it…” Diana nodded. She had no idea what was wrong with her as Judson’s image lingered
on her mind. She cared for that loser.
“You and Judson were high school classmates, and he might have a crush on you in high school, since
he used to take good care of you. He married you for you rather than your dad’s money, because
he’s…filthy rich,” Lucrezia said.
“You’re right. He didn’t marry me for my dad’s money…he is rich…” Diana’s heart cramped and her
eyes dimmed.
Lucrezia continued, “So, Rosy and I agree that it was Judson who helped you secretly. He’s always
there for you in silence.”
“I guess it was him.” Diana closed her eyes with various emotions filling her heart. For no reason,
searing pain was coursing through her body, forcing her to tremble.
Lucrezia recalled her past and said slowly, “You know me, Diana, I’ve dated a lot of guys. To be honest,
it’s hard to find a lover like Judson. I can tell from your face that you love him, but he’d leave N City
soon after the divorce as he will return to his hometown…Don’t…don’t you want to see him again? It
may be the last time you see his face…Don’t make yourself regret for the rest of your life.”
Diana turned her head away to look outside of the window, her eyes red…
Lucrezia sighed again as she knew her best friend too well. Diana may look like a tough woman, but
deep on the inside she was just a little girl. Diana had never fallen in love with anyone as she was too
busy with her own business which she built up without her family’s help.
Lucrezia stood up and left Diana’s room before closing the door.
