I am carrying your family future hier
Laurel’s POV
“Ah welcome Mr. Goldman’s, we are so glad you could make it, please sit.
“The boss welcomed me into his office, I took a good look at everything. It was neat enough.
I took a seat and turned to the boss in the office, “It’s my pleasure.”I was calm and collected and I wanted it to be over with.
I was itching to go back to her executive club and spend some time with my favorite sugar baby.
I remembered that girl.
The one that bumped into me, she looked so beautiful and it was hard to believe she wasn’t one of them. Even with her hair in an utter mess, she still glowed. I never got to know her name.
“So the deal has been discussed and if you just sign here, you’ll have full control of the company.”He brought out his contract and handed me a pen swiftly. That alerted me.
I snapped to one of my men, “Read it.”
“There isn’t a need to do that, it’s just as we have discussed.”He stammered a little and urged me to sign it but I didn’t say otherwise and one of my boys took the contract to read.
“Dead end boss, he’s about to play us.
“He chuckled a little after five minutes, “you think he’d sign a contract without reading it? You must be some dumb fuck.”
He handed it over to me and I glanced through it. I got so irritated.
I tore it to shreds.
Now the boss was fretting like a stupid idiot. Then I exhumed my contract and also my gun.
“I don’t have time for this, sign it and keep your life and the money.”I pointed it at his head and in an instant, his signature was on the paper.
I took a look at everything and smiled, “good day. I don’t expect to see you here tomorrow.”
The ride back home was boring enough, I didn’t want to go home but my personal assistant had told me to. I had to see my dad.
The car halted at the grand gate and at the signal of two honks, the gate opened and we were allowed entrance into the grand
escapade.
The Goldman’s ville.
It was worth over a hundred million and it was in my name. I got out of the car as soon as I saw my dad in some baggy clothes with his golf bag.
“Dad, you’re meant to be resting.”I took the bag from him and he dropped his shoulders in defeat.
“Just one game with the boys, I don’t want to be indoors all day.”He smiled at me before snatching his bag back.
I was his first son and our relationship was very special to me, “did it go well?”
“Yes it did, another company acquired.”I rolled my eyes.
“We should celebrate! When I get back, we will throw a big event!”He was almost dancing, he hadn’t lost it even in his old age.
I needed sleep, my memory is vague but I remember going to my room and barely taking off any clothing. And now I was woken up by loud music.
I groaned and tried to drown the noise with my pillow but it didn’t work. I was forced to take a cold shower and dress up, dad wasn’t joking when he said he would throw a party for it.
I got downstairs and there was a party going on.
I rolled my eyes at the merriness of the occasion and I wanted to go back to my room.
“Laurel, do you plan to sleep all day?”
My eyes twitched at the sound of his voice, one of the bastards I hated with so much vigor.
I turned back to see my stepbrother coming with two girls, his hands glued to them like they were to my father’s pocket.
“Are you sure you aren’t pregnant?
“He snorted to his crude joke while the women he took eyed their next target; me.
“Unlike me, you do nothing all day. What do you want?”
“Dad’s calling you, he said he wants you to meet someone.”His tone became competitive and now it was my turn to snort.
I reversed my steps and searched for Dad, I found him talking to some men and as I got close enough, I heard they were talking about me.
“Ah there he is, Laurel, this is Mr Jackson, he owns almost all the estates in the city. I’m sure you two will do very good business together.
“He patted my back and I respectfully shook his hand. Dad was always introducing me to his friends, it was a way of expanding my network.
I glanced over my shoulder and I saw my stepmom displaying her new jewelry set to her friends.
She and her son were utterly useless but this was what my life looked like and I wanted to escape it.
I barely got time for myself, unless I went to the Executive Club.
Everything and everyone was moving so fast and the bags underneath my eyes were getting worse. I needed sleep.
I made my way upstairs before I heard an argument of some sort. I turned back and it was my stepmom and…that lady!
“So you think you can just come into my house and say you’re pregnant and then we’ll throw money at you?
“She was irritated, “Girls like you are always after rich men so you can steal their wealth.”
“Look, I don’t care what you call me, I’m pregnant for your son and that’s all that matters.”
What? Was she talking about my stepbrother?
I am sure I have never touched her. I came down to address the issue.
“What is going on here and who are you?”I was irked at the situation, more problems meant less sleep for me. But her gaze softened when I came to settle the argument.
“Finally I found you! I’m pregnant.”She held her stomach and I arched my brows.
“That can’t be for me, I’ve never slept with you before in my entire life.”I denied it very quickly.
“You always come to the Executive Club, remember I bumped into you one night and I fainted?”She said and that was true but I can’t remember sleeping with her.
“Look, I don’t know who you’re pregnant for but don’t put it on me.”I growled at her but she wasn’t phased, “You’re not getting anything, so leave.”Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
“I’ll file a case against you, then we’ll see who’ll win.”
Did she just threaten me? My blood was boiling and I wanted to choke the life out of her.
“File a case with your fake pregnancy? You just want a share of all of this, don’t you? Cheap whore!”
“Yes I want part of all this, I deserve it after all! I’m carrying his baby!”She kept pointing at me and I was about to blow.
“You’re not his wife!”
“But I am the mother of his child! And I have an equal share in this family!”
“Can you all just shut up?!!”
Everywhere went stiff and quiet, the rich man that Tiara had come to claim as the father of her baby had finally spoken up and he was boiling with anger.
“Father…just…let me handle it.
“He was seething with rage and Tiara was shifting between her feet, what was he going to do now?
He turned to her, the color of his eyes was glistening with irritation and eventually her gaze fell.
“You, outside, now.
“He went ahead of her before she eventually following him and when they were close to the gate, he stopped.
