Chapter 545: Sign Here
Chapter 545: Sign Here
Leigh stares at the ring on the servant's finger for a while. His mood darkens. It seems that he has
understood something.
He takes out his phone and calls his assistant.
"Don't go to the company. I need you to go to another place and bring me one thing."
After that, Leigh goes to the bathroom to wash up and changes into a suit.
When he enters the main bedroom, Jessie is coming out from the bathroom slowly. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Her hair is glossy. It seems that she has just washed her hair.
Leigh goes over to help her sit on the edge of the bed. He opens the wardrobe, picks out a dress, and
helps her change into it.
Leigh doesn't say anything from the moment he enters, but Jessie can tell that the one in the room is
Leigh from his breath.
As he is helping her get dressed, she asks carefully, "No work today?"
"Yes. I have something more important to do."
Leigh pulls the ribbons of her dress and ties them in a beautiful bow. Then, he looks around as if he is
looking for something.
He walks towards the dresser and opens the bag on it.
He turns the bag upside down and everything inside it comes out.
A few coins toss on the table, jingling.
Leigh picks up the coins from those things, stares at them for a while, and then hands them to Jessie.
Holding three coins in her hand, Jessie feels a little confused, "Why do you give me these?"
"You will need them later. Keep them well." After saying that, he helps her downstairs for breakfast.
During breakfast, Leigh doesn't feed Jessie as usual. Instead, he tells her what is placed in front of her,
and she gets the food by groping. Although she eats slowly, he waits for her patiently.
After Jessie finishes eating, Leigh wipes her mouth with a napkin and asks, "How are you feeling? Do
you want to vomit?"
Jessie shakes her head.
"That's good." Leigh picks up the three coins on the table and puts them on her palm. "Then we're
going out."
"Am I going out too?"
"Yes."
Leigh wraps a silk scarf around Jessie's head, helps her put on her sunglasses and her flats. After
putting on shoes, he carries her in his arms and goes out.
Jessie puts her arms around his neck, wanting to ask where they are going, but in the end, she doesn't
ask.
She can feel that she is carried into the car and carefully placed on the seat. She hears Leigh asks the
driver to go to Mercury Road. Then the car starts and moves steadily.
Jessie sits there quietly, not knowing where Leigh is taking her and what he wants to do.
A few moments later, the car stops.
Leigh comes to carry her in his arms.
Jessie holds his neck and hears him talk to someone. "Have you brought all the documents? Do you
explain it to the staff?"
"They are all in the folder. I have told them and today they only serve you."
"Are you sending me abroad?" Hearing the word "document", Jessie thinks that she is at the airport
and pulls Leigh's clothes. She says anxiously, "I don't want to go abroad. I want to see my uncle and
aunt."
As Leigh carries her to the Civil Affairs Bureau and comforts her, "You are not going abroad. You will
stay by my side. We are doing a small thing. Just a few minutes."
Jessie says no more, but she still feels uneasy.
She can't see and is unable to tell where she is. She can only hear someone say "Mr. Lewis". Then,
she is placed in a chair by Leigh.
"Mr. Lewis, everything is ready for you. Just sign it."
"OK. Thank you."
Jessie is sitting there in confusion when she feels that someone hands her a pen and pulls her hand
forward.
Leigh says tenderly, "Sweetie, sign here."
"What is it?" Jessie doesn't move and asks, "Can you read it to me?"
"It's nothing important. Just write down your name." Leigh strokes her hair. "As long as you listen to me
today, tomorrow I will ask your uncle and aunt to visit you."
"Really?"
"Really. Believe me."
Jessie holds the pen and hesitates for a long time. In the end, she writes her name on it slowly and
carefully.
"Well done," Leigh says tenderly. "Put a coin on the table."
She takes out one of the coins that have been held in her left hand and places it on the table.
Later, Leigh pulls her up from the chair. Holding her with his arm, he leads her way. Then he asks her
to stop and look up.
About ten seconds later, Leigh says it is done and carries her away.
After they leave, his assistant pays the fee to the staff. "Thank you. Here are some little gifts from Mr.
Lewis. Please accept them."
Everyone in the hall receives the gifts and is flattered.
After his assistant leaves, a staff member says, "I don't think that young miss knows what she is doing.
Don't you think Mr. Lewis has gone too far for fooling her like that?"
"How can you be sure she doesn't know?"
"She can't see. She even needs Mr. Lewis to point at the place for the signature. Obviously, she doesn't
know."
Having no words to refute, the other staff waves her hand and says, "Well, this is their business. Leave
it alone. If a wealthy and influential man brings me here to get married, I couldn't be more willing to do
it!"
The former is speechless.
After coming out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, Leigh takes Jessie to the mall and goes straight to Van
Cleef & Arpels in the jewelry department.
They sit in the VIP room and wait for a while.
The shopping guide brings a plate of rings and places it on the glass cabinet. Leigh takes Jessie's hand
and puts it on the ring plate.
"Pick me a ring. I will get the one you point at."
Jessie draws her hand back slightly. "Why do you ask me to pick a ring? And what did I sign just now?"
"Didn't you promise to listen to me today?"
"Well." Jessie bites her lower lip and points at one casually. "This one."
Leigh picks up the ring she points at and puts it on her palm.
"Help me put it on."
Jessie gropes for his hand and carefully puts the ring on his ring finger.
Leigh asks her to put a coin on the counter. After she puts down the coin, he takes her away.
His assistant enters the VIP room after they leave and hands the credit card and gift to the shopping
guide. "Thank you. It is bought by Mrs. Lewis. You can swipe the card for the rest expenses."
"OK." The shopping guide doesn't understand what Mr. Leigh is doing, but he does as commanded.
In the end, Leigh takes Jessie to a wedding dress studio.
Lily buys her wedding dress in this studio, and the manager knows Leigh.
Seeing Leigh enters with a woman, the manager quickly comes and greets him, "Mr. Leigh."
Leigh beckons the manager over and whispers to her.
The manager is shocked for a moment, and then quickly puts on a smile and says to Leigh, "Mr. Leigh,
It's so sweet for you to go shopping with Mrs. Lewis. I'll take you upstairs to see what kind of clothes
Mrs. Lewis likes."
After asking her to do a lot of strange things, Leigh now brings her to buy clothes. Jessie feels strange.
She pulls Leigh and whispers, "I'm pregnant. There are few clothes I can wear. It's no need to buy."
"Just try on a few clothes. It will end soon." Leigh carefully leads her up the stairs and says softly,
"Don't you want to dress beautifully to meet your uncle and aunt?"
