Chapter 438: Who's the Boss Behind the Scenes?

Raising his head and seeing David just standing there, Louis frowns, "Don't you understand what I

said?"

"Mr. Smith, are you serious?" David looks at Louis in shock, "Besides being the face of three

international brands, she can also star in two movies with huge investment? Famous leading actresses

can't always star in movies of this kind."

He ventures a guess, "Mr. Smith, are you trying to help Ms. Lily because of HS Company's limited

budget? Have you broken up with Ms. Lily or not?"

"Just do as I say." Louis squints, saying in an unhappy tone, "As for the reason, I don't need to tell you."

David reminds him, "Mr. Smith, the senior management of Merci Company will know it."

"So?"

David is tongue-tied.

'Mr. Smith puts his company aside to help Ms. Lily. What else can I say?'

David sighs deeply and goes back to work.

He contacts the senior management of Best Taste Entertainment to tell them what Louis wants them to

do, and then calls the promising young actress’ agent.

When the agent knows that her actress can be three luxury brands' ambassador and star in two movies

and that the Smith Group will cover the additional fee, she agrees to sign the contract for her actress to

make a three-minute video. She feels overjoyed because it's a stroke of luck.

Seeing that David is exhausted, she asks, "I haven't seen you in the company in the last two days. Do

you have a lot of things to do?"

"Yes." David picks up a cup of coffee and takes a few sips before replying, "The promotion plan for the

new perfume of HS Company has been finalized. A young actress of Best Taste Entertainment has

been chosen to be the face."

Sofia feels curious, "Then someone of Best Taste Entertainment should communicate with HS

Company. Why put you in charge?"

David hesitates for a moment. Thinking that it's not a secret and that Sofia's also a member of the

Smith Group, he hands the document to her, "HS Company's funds are limited. It can only pay the

actress three million to make the video."

"Is that so?" Sofia glances over the document and says to David, "I heard that HS Company signed a

Lowering her eyes, Sofia smiles and says in a soft tone, "He may want to make amends to Ms. Lily.

When the Smith Group was involved in the family fighting, it was Ms. Lily who was running the Smith

Group. Current success of the Smith Group can be partly credited to her."

"If the perfume doesn't get popular, HS Company will fail in the mechanism, and Ms. Lily is most likely

to be dismissed. Mr. Smith doesn't want to see that. He helps her because they had a relationship."

David agrees with Sofia.

'Mr. Smith and Ms. Lily have parted ways. It must because of the old days.'

'However, Mr. Smith has helped her too many times after the breakup, doesn't he?

David remembers something. He looks at Sofia with a puzzled expression, "I haven't told you anything

about Ms. Lily in the Smith Group. Why do you know that?"

that you built a laboratory and recruited some professionals because you want to develop this mobile

communication technology."

"I had this idea a long time ago, but I didn't expect someone to be ahead of me." John says, "There's

someone in Country R implementing the QY Plan already. It's Mr. Tezuka. He worked for IK, and now

he's the leader of the team working on the plan."

After a pause, he continues, "However, the boss behind the QY Plan is not a local investor from

Country R. I heard that he was from Country Z. He would provide unlimited financial support for Mr.

Tezuka's team to do the research."
