Mommy, Please Marry My Daddy (Kamryn)

Mommy 259

Nicole paused and smirked, saying, “I saw Charlie proposing to you, but it doesn’t matter. I don’t care if he loves me or not; as long as I have his baby, I’ll be satisfied.”

She laughed, radiating with joy,

But to Kamryn, her smile was nothing but a sickening mockery.

Despite forcing herself to remain calm, her mind was in turmoil.

She didn’t believe her affair with Charlie.

She had unwavering trust in Charlie.

For one, based on her understanding of him, he rarely drank unless it was at a social event.

He didn’t enjoy alcohol and kept his distance from it.

Furthermore, even at those events, he always maintained control, knowing his limits and never allowing himself to lose composure. It was simply impossible for him to get drunk.

Nicole glanced at Kamryn’s expression, mocking and sneering. “What? Don’t you believe my words?”

Kamryn looked up and locked eyes with her.

Nicole continued, “Is it tha

you don’t believe I’m pregnant, or that you don’t believe the baby inside me is Charlie’s?”

Kamryn forced a smile, but her face was tight. “Nicole, why should I believe you? You may not have any other talents, but you certainly have a knack for sowing discord. If you’re really pregnant, why didn’t you tell him? Instead, you came to me to stir up trouble. Your intentions are far from good.”

“Kamryn, you’re so naive, and you don’t even realize it. I don’t think you’ve ever truly understood men.”

Nicole laughed and continued, “Men are creatures driven by sex. Their physical impulses and primal instincts often overpower all reason. Although Charlie is a charming man, he’s not a god and is prone to making mistakes that men often make. But all that talk about if you love him, you should blindly trust him‘ is just self–consolation.”

“Do you think I would believe you just because you say so? Nicole, you have no shame. There’s a limit to everything. You’re from a high–class family. You don’t have to sink so low, do you?”

Kamryn’s cold gaze pierced through her.

Nicole, however, chuckled provocatively, saying, “If you don’t believe me, feel free to go ask Charlie. I’m sure Charlie won’t lie about this matter. But if you still don’t believe and want to dig deeper, I can show you the proof.”

As she spoke, she took out a brown paper bag from her purse and handed it over to Kamryn..

Kamryn glanced at it but didn’t reach out to take it. However, Nicole pushed the bag directly in front of her with an elegant smile.

“What’s the matter? Don’t you want to open and see? Or is your confidence wavering now? Are you afraid to face the truth?”

Kamryn had no choice but to look since Nicole provoked in this manner.

She opened the paper bag and took out several documents, scanning through them quickly.

She didn’t know how to read them, but at the end, there was a line that caught her eye. It confirmed the biological parent–child relationship between 6829f and 1998.

This line was clear and understandable.

It indicated that the results of the comparison confirmed their blood relationship.

Kamryn squinted in suspicion, raised her eyes, and looked at Nicole.

Before she could question anything, Nicole suddenly smirked, saying coldly. “You don’t have to doubt the authenticity of this paternity report. It’s from a legitimate hospital, and everything can be verified. If you don’t believe it, you can take this report to the hospital and confirm if it was issued by them. If you doubt the child, I don’t mind doing another test.”

She displayed an air of righteousness, unafraid of any form of verification.

This undoubtedly extinguished Kamryn’s confidence.

She placed the report on the table and tucked her hands into the pockets of her coat. Suddenly, her fingers brushed against something metallic.

Curiously, she grasped it and instantly recognized it as the Zippo lighter she had taken from Charlie’s pocket last night. Its metal body made it easily identifiable.

Last night, Charlie had been working in his study and smoked a few cigarettes. She was afraid he would smoke too much, so she took his lighter.

She suddenly smiled coldly and took out the lighter. With a click sound, she opened the lid, then flicked the lighter and sparked the flame. Holding the report in one hand, she set a corner on fire. In Nicole’s terrified scream, the flame shot up. engulfing the paper.

Kamryn casually threw the flaming paper on the table. Nicole freaked out and snatched the lukewarm milk, splashing it over

the fire.

As wisps of smoke rose, the fire finally died out.

After Nicole composed herself, she glared angrily at Kamryn and demanded, “You! What the hell are you doing?”

“You don’t need to bother with this kind of thing. Do you really think it can shake my so–called beliefs? Nicole, don’t be so naive and delusional.

Kamryn casually dropped those words and suddenly stood up, walking towards the door.

Nicole also stood up and followed closely, pressing her, “Kamryn, I warn you, your triumph won’t last long. I will bring these paternity test reports and seek justice from the Franco family tomorrow. For the sake of the child, the Franco family will definitely arrange the engagement between me and Charlie. I’d like to see who will be in a sorry state then. You may be proud now, but it won’t last long”

Kamryn halted her steps upon hearing this.

She calmly turned around and said, “Oh, let’s wait and see.”

Her composed response caught Nicole off guard.

For the sake of this child, Kamryn had paid an unimaginable price, enduring a difficult period of pregnancy and desperately adjusting her physical condition.

Once the pregnancy was successful, she quickly flew back to Faycaster but didn’t find Charlie right away.

There was no point in finding Charlie.

This child was obtained through despicable means, and even if it was his baby, he might not acknowledge it

After taking a short break at a hotel in Fayeaster, she directly provoked Kamryn. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Making a move against Kamryn would undoubtedly yield twice the result with half the effort.

She had originally imagined that once this matter was laid bare, Kamryn might question it. That’s why she had prepared the paternity test in advance, eagerly anticipating the moment she could throw the report at her, causing her to explode in anger, disregarding everything and rushing back home to cry, tantrum, and vent the grievances she had suffered here on Charlie.

With Charlie’s cold personality, it would be difficult for him to accept even a hint of doubt from the woman he deeply loved, and they would inevitably grow apart.

This was indeed a method of sowing discord.

She had set up the trap and was just waiting for Kamryn to foolishly fall into it, burying herself in the process.
